Horror Hotel
Pros:

The pool was clean and had a pleasant temperature. The small restaurant is also convenient and the staff on site very nice.

Cons:

1. there was no hot water
water for showering.
2. the air conditioning did not work.
3. the sheets were dirty.
4. we asked for a blanket because we only had a bedspread in the room but none to sleep on. We got two blankets completely full of orange stains and huge holes. Then we asked the employee again to bring us new ones and there were also 2/1 blankets extremely dirty.
5. there were 5 cockroaches in the bathroom. I no longer dared to go in alone.
6. the whole room smelled of mold and the bathroom was full of mold.

When we wanted to pay at check out there was a difference of about 3$ to the booking price. The manager then said we should consider ourselves lucky to have gotten such a room at such a reasonable price. When I told him about the shortcomings, he just said "that won't happen again".

Yes, because we won't be coming back...
We have not experienced such a terrible hotel in 2.5 weeks in Sri Lanka.

Much better places to stay
Pros:

Food was good and the portions were very large, great value
Rooms were ok

Cons:

Staff and particularly the check in and check out was terrible
Very minimal pleasantries were offered or given. It honestly felt like we were a burden
The hotel itself was fine, could do with a bit more tlc
Could be a great boutique venue but unless the owners train/recruit better staff it’s a shame
So much potential but it’s clear the owners are more worried about lights and fans running than the comfort of the guests

Enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.
