Historic, tasteful hotel with lovely atmosphere
Pros:

Lovely historic hotel with lots of thoughtful features in a fashionable part of Brooklyn - shame I didn't get more of a chance to eplore the area. I loved the historic details and found the Bar Blondeau a comfortable place to dine alone with spectacular views. I had a breakfast downstairs in the restaurant and it was the best omelette I have ever tasted. Great place. I couldn't stop taking pictures of the sunrise from my bedroom window

Cons:

I really missed having a coffee maker in the room. When you stay alone in a new part of town it can feel daunting to venture out for a coffee fix - without, well having had a coffee!

Will definitely be back!
Pros:

Love the decor, the restaurant(s), the cozy pillows & bed and the convenient location.

Cons:

Did not like having a room that faced the local night club, as it was very loud until quite late.

Comfortable, safe and pleasant.
Pros:

I loved this hotel. The staff was excellent - EVERYONE! The location is outstanding. Room was clean and spacious. I would have preferred a comfortable chair to a café table and chairs.

Cons:

Hotel is VERY expensive. Lots of private parties and weddings so common areas are noisy and crowded. In addition, Bar Blondeau is frequently closed due to private parties. These inconveniences warrant the room prices being reduced. Not a good value.

Unless you get this place for a deal, don't bother.
Pros:

The hotel staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. And the location is excellent - right int he heart of Williamsburg!

Cons:

Very overpriced with very few amenities - basic rooms, no pool (similarly priced hotels near by have a pool). The staff in the ground floor resturant were rude and snobby - very different from the rest of the staff.
