Sānti Beach House with pool & beach

Aunque es la casa que a cualquiera le gustaría tener, se notaba que había tenido su esplendor en otra época, necesita un mantenimiento brutal y entiendo que es muy costoso, pero en algún momento tendrán que invertir en los cerramientos y en el mantenimiento general de la casa. Por ejemplo, teníamos la mejor habitación, pero no podíamos salir al balcón porque no se habría la puerta, la bañera y ducha eran muy chulas pero no salía agua caliente. Una gran casa pero en decadencia

My friend and I were robbed at this beach house by the staff. DO NOT BOOK IT. IT'S NOT SAFE!
We stayed for 2 nights at the villa. First, it doesn’t look as nice as it does in the photos. The beach fence is creepy, and I completely agree with other guests that it needs a quick renovation.
The manager was upset that we arrived a few hours earlier than expected and acted really strangely. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel safe or comfortable around him. As many other guests have mentioned, we were also locked in on the property. There’s a guard who holds the keys, and he only opens or closes the gate when you ask him to, sometimes you have to wait for him for 15mins.
You don’t get a key to the gate, which makes you feel uncomfortable. But now we understand why they lock it.
On the first two days, we were the only guests at the property, which felt really odd, especially during high season. When they served us breakfast, they even took a photo of us eating without asking!
We spent the whole day at the beach, locked our room, and left our belongings and documents inside because the property had a guard and monitoring. We returned at 8 p.m., locked the room again, and went to sleep. The next morning, we realized that money we had hidden deep in our luggage was missing. I lost $200 USD, and my friend lost $300 USD. We had hidden the money in our backpacks because the safe didn’t seem secure (no pin code, just an easy-to-break lock—photo attached).
We went straight to the manager to report the theft. He was smiling, which was extremely weird, and kept saying it was fine because there were cameras installed. However, they didn’t let us see the footage! They said their boss would review the recordings and let us know if anything suspicious showed up (again, what?!). We went to the police station to file a report. We also had to book another room for the next two nights because we didn’t feel safe—meaning we lost even more money.

It’s poor value for money. It’s dated and unkept and not clean.
The photos are completely outdated.
It’s not secure and two young women got robbed when we was there.
Breakfast was also poor, we didn’t go after the first breakfast.

Considering the Villa is so stunning and the rooms are beautiful, sadly the linen was in a poor state. Our bed sheets were thread bare and had holes in it. This was quite disappointing considering the price we paid to stay at the villa. Its time to buy new linen !!!
Everything else was perfect.

But there’re some disappointing thing. The pictures on booking are not showing the real life. I think the pictures were made at least 8 years ago. The Wi-Fi worked only next to the router, in the rooms there wasn’t any connection. In my opinion the price for this place is much higher than it should be.

The staff was on the premises, but a little bit difficult to find.

As mentioned in a few other reviews, some parts of the property are a little scruffy but it’s an old building and mostly has been well decorated. We had the annex room which was spacious and comfortable and had good AC but it is behind the house so doesn’t have a sea view as stated. The gate was very rarely opened when you rang it so we mostly ended up having to enter by walking through the restaurant next door and round to the beach. But all in all it was a lovely stay and we felt relaxed and at home there over our 11 nights.
