Not what I expected for this price - the good service (2nd room, food) were damage control
Pros:

Food was good, they even packed my breakfast because I had an early morning safari. They upgraded me to a better room, after I told them my wifi isn't working and that room was very nice and big. Super clean and everything you could hope for in a room. The water pressure was like in most places in Sri Lanka a little low though, but at least there was warm water.

Cons:

I sent multiple messages to the hotel, both via whatsapp and email and didn't get a response until I arrived. The original room I was to stay in was full of ants and the wifi wasn't working. Also that building (further away from the main reception and restaurant) looked like it was in construction. When I arrived I asked for a safari (my original inquiry in the messages I sent before) and they organized one. At first I thought I was getting a good deal with 18'000 Rp, but then right before we left, they asked me to help out with the entrance fee. What they didn't tell me was the amount.. 12'850!! And it was not even a professional safari, just a guy with a jeep, who barely knew the animals and made zero effort. He only drove half-way into the park, I barely saw anything. The safari was supposed to last 4 hours but after 3 hours we already returned. I got some drinks but no snacks. For over 20'000 this was a complete rip-off. In the end I can say, this hotel would have some potential but it lacks the follow-through

One of our favourite stays in Srilanker
Pros:

From the moment we arrived till the time we left,everything was perfect,the staff were second to none,in fact we felt sad to leave but were moving to another area.Do not hesitate to book this place,it’s truly beautiful.
