Excellent breakfast

The gardens surrounding Rolfs are out of this world.You can enjoy an amazing breakfast, lunch dinner or drinks in a really special & beautiful setting. The food is outstanding! The cocktails are great and the staff are lovely.

AMAZING location— right in heart of Kinsale but BR location makes solid sleeping no problem. Fan and washer &dryer made the difference! Apt 2 (there are 3) has great views of town square below: very lively but by midnight, it’s quiet.
Apt very clean. 1.5 Baths! Bed very comfy. No issues with anything! If you’re looking to cook, there are literally just the basics: large pasta pot, small saucepan & large frying pan. So no fancy meals— just enough for a quick meal. Simple but stylish decor. Light & bright! We were thrilled with the apt/- parked (free) in the library parking near the church— 2-3 min walk with bags. Super easy to check in— Michelle was quick & efficient with all correspondence and questions prior to arrival. Never had an issue with apt! Can’t recommend highly enough! There is also a 2BR (Apt 1) in this building— styled similarly. We peeked at it while it was being cleaned

Restaurants, coffee. shops, galleries & pubs abound. What a great town! Jo’s bakery for BEST scones (seriously!!! And other baked goods. Seed has great baked goods & toasties too. Coffee & Cocktails has good coffee , as did Wild Thyme (i think it’s called that) A surprisingly good dinner at The White House (only place we found open till 9:30) kitchens close at 9 pm!!! BEST trad music was in the tiny Prim’s Bookstore & Bar (do the sherry flight!)— guy working there was super nice, friendly & knowledgeable. Managed a walk in outdoor table at Black pig! Also, had fish & chips at the recommended Fishy Fishy— mid afternoon was perfect— no crowds

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better stay at Rolfs Country House.

Before I even arrived, I had to contact Frederica to change my booking due to a family bereavement. She was so kind, understanding and accommodating, and nothing was any trouble. That immediately put me at ease, and the warm welcome continued throughout my stay.

Rolfs is a beautiful family-run boutique hotel with a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Frederica and her family clearly take great pride in what they do. Her daughters were serving in the restaurant during my stay, and they were so friendly, professional and genuinely lovely. The lady looking after breakfast each morning was equally welcoming and made every breakfast a pleasure.

The hotel itself is immaculate. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. They're full of gorgeous flowers and lush greenery, creating such a peaceful setting. Sitting outside for a meal felt really special.

The restaurant was exceptional. The food was of a very high standard, and it's easy to see why it's so popular with both guests and locals. I'd definitely recommend booking a table because it gets busy. Breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of choice and excellent service.

There was ample parking, which was really convenient, and from start to finish I felt genuinely welcomed and looked after.

Thank you to Frederica and all of the family for making my stay so enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rolfs to anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming place to stay.

Rolfs is a perfect place to base yourself to enjoy Baltimore & the surrounding areas. See in beautiful verdant gardens where you can, weather permitting enjoy breakfast or time to sit & relax. The family who own & run Rolfs are all friendly & efficient. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere & serves excellent food.
