Lovely hotel, ideally located.
Pros:

Great location, lovely comfortable room. Dinner was very good and breakfast exceptional. Beautiful place set among a nine hole golf course.

Great stopover with friendly staff. We shall use this property again
Pros:

Excellent location allowing us a 30 minute drive to ferry port.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The large room we occupied had a comfortable bed and walk in shower with plenty of hot water

Pick, part of the staff was helpful and very pleasant

Cons:

Bed was uncomfortable, pillows were worse. Felt like I slept on a rock!

Lovely building, clean and comfortable room. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.

Bar closed earlier than advertised. We arrived at 9:45 and was hoping to get a quick drink. But bar had already shut.

Pros:

The room was beautiful with scenic views. Food was delicious. The staff were wonderful especially Emily and Mac. Couldn't do enough for you.

Absolutely perfect!
Pros:

Loved absolutely everything! The room was stunning with a super comfortable bed. Perfectly quiet at night for a peaceful sleep. Ambience was spot on.
Staff were very helpful and happy. Food was superb! The whole place was wonderful. Can’t wait to return 😊

Nice room but old building with high maintenance, Access not great along narrow lanes with passing places
Pros:

The room was very nice and hotel is set in lovely landscape

Cons:

Check out was early 10.30 and extra cost of £20 for 2 extra hours when room rate was £166 seems excessive. Water pipe failure overnight and so no water in morning. When it did get going not much hot water.

Very pleasant and would stay again
Pros:

Great staff, lovely location, nice bar and the selection of drinks was really good.
The bed was comfortable and the views were extremely nice.

Cons:

The room was a little small but adequate, and the shower could have done with servicing.

Historical significance, really nicely laid out and tastefully decorated, grains and views are amazing

No complaints hence we keep going back as it is only 15 minutes from where we live

Beautiful views and, lovely staff
Pros:

The views were amazing, staff were so attentive and lovely, food was great and other guests were lovely too. Beds were sooo comfy, we spoke with Mac a lot and he was amazing, thank you Mac!

Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. The room we had 'The Cornwood' was huge and comfortable. The shower was lovely.
Nice bar to sit and chat in and the view over the golf course was great. Breakfast was very good too.

Cons:

Some areas could do with a bit of TLC but its an old building and it didn't affect our stay.
