Ask for room that doesn’t face the high st
Pros:

Gorgeous historical property

Cons:

We had the room with window onto the high st, which seemed great but was actually extremely noisy all night long (drunk young people yelling/ laughing right outside until maybe 4am)

Would consider using this Hotel again
Pros:

Good location. Nicely appointed room and appreciated water and biscuits together with tea/coffee making facilities. Nice in house restaurant (Bills) although unfortunately I couldn’t hand around for Breakfast

Cons:

Nothing major- not the hotels fault but a hot night!

It was near restaurants for evening meal.
Pros:

It was in a great location. It had everything we needed.

Cons:

The room layout was odd with the bathroom in the centre forming an inner corridor betweeen bedroom and a sitting area. The bathroom door was coming off it’s hinges.

Great Hotel for a Stay in Guildford
Pros:

Volle Empfehlung 😃

Ideal location for meet up with old friends passing through.
Pros:

Very comfortable bed and well sound proofed room. Beautiful historic building in excellent location.

Cons:

Largely traffic free area of city so no parking on-site. Used P&R which was adequate.

Lovely old hotel in the middle of the High Street.
Pros:

The hotel is in the middle of the High Street, so in the heart of Guildford. Most of the things you might want to do in Guildford are just a short walk away. The room was very comfortable, and looked like it had been modernised recently with almost everything you might need. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It's an old hotel so it's stairs up to the accommodation. That was fine for us but if you are less steady on your feet you might want to take advantage of the offer to carry your suitcase up the stairs. There is no bar, unless you count The Fallen Angel, which isn't for everyone.

Pros:

A very comfortable night and lovely receptionist. Stayed for just one night and did not have any problems with noise although this maybe because we went to bed v
ery late.

Great location, great staff, hotel needs upgrading.
Pros:

Great central location

Cons:

It’s very tired. Standard double bed in a fairly large room felt mean. The shower didn’t work on arrival. Could be a great hotel but needs a refit.
