Incredible off the beaten path experience!
Pros:

This place is a GEM! Gorgeous, comfortable, relaxing, and the hospitality is lovely. Definitely don’t miss the meals - some of the best we had in Mexico! Don’t miss it!

Cons:

Espectacular hacienda para llegar a descansar después de subir la malinche.
Pros:

El lugar es divino, súper tranquilo, con una vista divina a la malinche. La comida está deliciosa, todo es muy casero, y el servicio del personal estuvo increíble. La habitación muy tranquila y cómoda, el baño súper limpio y grande. Definitivamente volveremos.

Excellent stay but soaker tub not functional if this is important to you.
Pros:

The staff were really fantastic, the food and cleanliness were superb. I cannot say enough about the staff and the beauty of the hacienda. However, we purposefully booked a room with a soaker tub which I was very excited about. They are not common in hotels here! However, there was not the hot water to fill more than 1/4 of the tub - so this was very disappointing. We tried on three separate occasions to see if there would be enough - but no. There were nicer rooms - but we really wanted the tub. When I inquired about the hot water the staff was super quick to respond - but ultimately even with the attempt to use the boiler after several hours (from solar) - not enough hot water. On the final morning we could not even have a hot shower. Normally we do not mind - it can be quite normal in Mexico - but for the $ they charge we expected hot water. Everything else was fantastic.

Cons:

They desperately need a sign that indicates the entrance to the actual facility!!! I appreciate the solar power and the attempt to get hot water by switching to the boiler - but it was not enough. We would have liked to have known that that the bathtub was not functional. I would have liked an introduction to the hotel / room. Wifi? Details about the hacienda?

Excelente lugar para escapar de todo el ruido que día con día tenemos. Realmente vale la pena, pero debemos entender que es un lugar alejado de todo. Del ruido de la TV del Internet.

Pero por supuesto que vale la pena estar un par de días.

Cons:

En general todo, me sorprendió era lo que estábamos buscando mi esposa y yo. Un lugar donde pudiéramos estar alejados de todo el ruido de la vida cotidana.

Vale le pena.

Very nice, but very limited hot water and heat
Pros:

Lovely location, large room, very good food, cordial staff

Cons:

Very limited hot water and heat. I booked a room with a hot tub, but the hot water literally lasts no more than 2 minutes, so a bit farcical. If you've got mobility issues, you would kill yourself getting into the tub/shower.

Rural seclusion with pared down style
Pros:

Lovely old fortified hacienda restored very simply but with style. Very pleasant staff and friendly cat and dogs. Good food. Bedrooms are spacious and have the important things - comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. Excellent little gallery and shop.
