Johnny hotel is in a very good location and clean. Beds were comfortable.
It is rundown and at the heart of night life making it noisy at night.
It was very central and affordable
Can be hard to find
Near to LRT, and groceries, laundry, salon, etc. Budget friendly.
If you have heavy luggage, prepare for 1 story lift as you have to take stair only.
The location of the unit is excellent – but the rest of the apartment left a lot to be desired.
My issues were:
1) Noise of the fridge in the room disturbed our sleep (and froze our fruit).
2) The use of “fragrance spray” to cover over whatever natural smells the owner want to cover was horrible and would upset asthmatics.
3) The TV didn’t work – beyond showing icons for Netflix, You Tube and channels 12 and 13 – but one couldn’t access these stations.
4) The suspension of the bed wasn’t appropriate for me.
5) The sheet didn’t cover the mattress – should have been larger.
6) The door handle fell off the door – but Guy had that fixed.
IT WOULD BE USEFUL IF JOHNNY SENT ARRIVAL & ROOM INSTRUCTIONS WHEN THE BOOKING IS MADE RATHER THAN SENDING AN EMAIL TO INCOMING TENANTS A FEW HOURS BEFORE AS NEW TENANTS MIGHT NOT HAVE INTERNET ACCESS ONTHE DAY AS THEY ARE TRAVELLING>..

Room smelled of tobacco, towels and linen were not clean, room and bathroom were also dirty... Quite disgusting.

I like the location, cleanliness, access to the property, cold/hot water dispenser for free. The host was super nice and allowed us to stay 2 hours longer so we had more time for city tour.
