Cozy like a home away from home, breakfast was delicious. Staff amazing.
Parking is a bit of a squeeze.
The woman Nina is one of the nicest people I have ever met. From the beginning she was welcoming and nice. She made us breakfast every morning, waking up early to do it by herself and every morning it was amazing. The place was super clean, smelt amazing and was always kept warm. At one point me and my partner had our clothes soaked at the bottom by accident. When Nina saw my partner trying to dry them outside the fire she brought up a clothes rack and found a way to dry our shoes and clothes easier. I truly had the best stay, as someone who’s usually very picky about where I stay I can’t recommend this place enough. I will 100% be coming back the next time I want to go to the snow l loved it here. If you’re looking for a comforting place close to the snow with welcoming owners come here, you will love it.
Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised
Unfortunately, our experience at this chalet didn’t live up to expectations. The room we were given was quite different from what was advertised online — significantly smaller and not representative of the photos. The space was so cramped that it was difficult to move between the bed and the bathroom, and the bed itself was pushed right up against the wall, making it very inconvenient for one person to get in and out without disturbing the other.
The bathroom was also extremely small — my partner could barely fit in the shower. There were no towel hooks or rails inside, so we had to walk out dripping wet just to grab a towel. This kind of setup just isn’t practical.
Parking was another major issue. The designated spots were so tight that if you have a larger vehicle, anyone parked beside you would struggle to open their door. It made coming and going more stressful than it needed to be.
Soundproofing was poor — we could hear every movement and noise from the neighboring rooms, which made it very difficult to sleep without earplugs.
Breakfast was another letdown. It finished by 8:30 AM, which feels too early for guests who want a relaxed morning. On top of that, when the staff brought out hot bread, they handed it out to each table except ours — the service felt cold and dismissive.
Housekeeping also left a lot to be desired. Towels and toilet paper were not replenished during our stay, which should be a basic standard of service.
All in all, the stay was disappointing. With a few changes and better attention to guest comfort and service, it could be much better — but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you're expecting comfort, space, and hospitality.
We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids thought it was the best 'resort' they had even been too 🤭
They kids loved the kids room with games and the exceptional breakfast and afternoon treats that Nina made. There was always something delicious to eat and a cuppa available. The beds were comfortable and all the other guests were respectful so we didn't have any noise issues.
Nina is a lovely host and extended a very warm welcome. She provided helpful information for my visit to Jindabyne and Thredbo. The facilities were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great.

Rooms and common spaces were lovely and brekky was great. Lovely staff.
My private bathroom was outside of the room, had to go through the common area to get to it. I didn't see realize when I booked it. Just check with them if you are expecting an ensuite.
Perfect location for a trip to the snow! The coach service to Perisher and Thredbo pick you up and drop you off just outside the front door! They also have a drying room for your shoes/equipment!
The property was gorgeous, a really cozy winter retreat. The host was fantastic. Breakfast was included and if you hit the slopes early you can order to-go! Warming fire places, and access to tea/coffee/hot chocolate 24/7 plus freshly made assorted muffins every single day!
We initially had a hiccup with our booking, but were offered a night stay free of charge. 10/10 customer service, we highly recommend this property!! We will be back!

Me and my partner stayed here at Chalet Alpina and it was amazing! Nina, the owner, is so welcoming and her hospitality made the stay really special. The chalet is perfect for snowboarders and skiers – warm, cozy, and well set up after a day on the slopes. Breakfast was delicious and the homemade cupcakes were a real treat. Highly recommend!

The communal space is very well kept. Though it is not mainly kid friendly. If you can't mind your kids, don't let them roam around to avoid any breakages.
The kitchen/dining space is full of condiments and the breakfast is amazing. Nina is so friendly and welcoming. She even gave us advice about our trip.
Perhaps just the photo gave the impression that the room is bigger than what it is in person.

Very comfy, beautiful interior, I especially loved the shared common areas. Breakfast was included and was lovely each day. The host was incredible and kind, and great at giving local recommendations.
