Super schoon en netjes hotel, vlak bij de winkels maar toch rustig. Nette en behulpzaam personeel, echt een aanrader voor Kalimpong

Excellent location, clean, comfortable room at Golden Peaks
Pros:

The hotel is located on the 9 th mile in Kalimpong, easy walking distance from main shops and restaurants. It appears fairly new. Extremely clean and well maintained, the room was quite comfortable! The manager was very helpful with arranging taxis, suggesting places to visit etc. The price was reasonable for the accommodations and service provided. ( There is a restaurant on property, but I did not use it) I would recommend Golden Peaks, Kalimpong.

The room had damp on the walls. The improper design of the window and curtains position. Internet speed was not adequate. Couldn't use the smart TV effectively.

Disappointing for the price that was charged
Pros:

The location is good. It's walking distance to the centre of town. The room itself was spacious and relatively well furnished. The staff and hotel manager were usually quick to respond, helpful and polite.

Cons:

For the price that they charge, the facilities were definitely lacking. Hot water is only available in the morning rather than throughout the day. They provided an immersion heater, but that's not the experience I was expecting for this price. The wifi speed was quite slow, even when standing right under a router/ booster. The room that we were given seemed like it hadn't been prepped very well. The intercom wasn't working and got replaced, the door wasn't locking properly and the floor and kettle seemed like they hadn't been dusted recently. They did offer us a different room on the second night, but by that time the bad first impression had already been made.
