Hotel New Era

Great location off the main Thamel street, staff were lovely and helpful, wifi worked, strong shower pressure with hot water.

The owner was very kind and always greeted us with a smile, which made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay.

The rooms are really lovely, with a tv and ensuite, hot showers as well.

The staff are immaculate here any issues or questions we had they dealt with like it was a first priority. Every single time we needed something whether it be water, fresh towels they got to it straight away.

When I come back I will definitely be staying here as it was a hassle free and comfortable stay.

Quiet and relaxed in the heart of kathmandu - a rare find, the hotel is in a tiny lane that has no traffic so possibly the only place where there is good sleep as thamel is very busy, rooms are new and clean, there's cleaning everyday and the reception staff is very hospitable - I've been coming here since years, it's effortless, people are kind and attentive, no frills but with real good value for the price, definite bang for the buck, will come again.

Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations! The facilities and cleanness were superb. Its location is perfect, in the heart of Thamel, close to everything but in an alley away from the noise of the neighborhood (definitely the best for resting).
But above all, what truly stood out was the staff, specially Mr. Pravesh, an incredibly warm and attentive host. We had to check out very early, and he kindly prepared a packed breakfast for us to take on the way, which was such a thoughtful gesture!
We originally booked just one night, but on our way back we decided to stay longer because we enjoyed it so much. We would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed in many hotels over the years, and this was by far the best one in Kathmandu.

Super helpfull staff.
Alythough the hotel is in the city center, it is located further from busy streets and is very quiet.
It is not the first time we're in New Era, and it's nice to have same comfortable sleep.
