Fab views but overpriced and dated
Pros:

Beautiful views of the lake

Cons:

Spectacularly over-priced considering that many of the facilities shut quite early, eg pool, onsen etc. and was very surprised that there is so little (ie no) option for a sit down meal for a vegetarian considering this tours itself as a five star hotel. Rather than having five people direct me to a parking spot you could have someone in the pool until say 10pm. I also object to so many extra charges for things that other hotels simply provide for nothing. 440 for a swim cap??!

Very relaxing stay in a beautiful setting, sadly the weather was very gloomy so the view from either the lake or the sea
Pros:

Comfort, room, onsen is fabulous, food is good and diverse, incl breakfast

Cons:

Isolated, dinners are expensive, often set menus. Although they have few foreign staffs, it remains quite difficult to communicate with the people of the hotel.

Pros:

This hotel is special in every way. The hotel sits alone on a mountain range with the ocean on one side and a sea with islands on the other. The hotel staff provides perfect service, the hotel itself is stunning, artistically impressive and truly mesmerizing. The restaurants are excellent and delicious.
