This is a fantastic place to stay. Excellent hosts. Excellent rooms and really nice locally sourced food. Super rustic inn with open fire, welcoming atmosphere and super staff. If you want to explore this part of Cornwall I can’t think of a better place to stay.
We liked everything.
It was a really lovely place to stay the rooms were lovely and the staff were very good.
3rd year of staying at the Crown Inn and the rooms and staff have never failed to disappoint. Very friendly, very accommodating and rooms are very comfy for a real relaxed stay. Food is incredible and the drinks and atmosphere bring a great comfort feel to the place
Ceiling height is a little low in the pub when walking around but other then that no complaints!
We loved everything about it. The room was comfortable and the pub was cosy.
Old fashioned pub was lovely.
If staying in pub room it was a bit noisy as your above the bar.
Dinner, location and the inn

Staff were beyond brilliant and just the loveliest people
We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Inn. The pub is well located for access to the Eden project, Cornish coast as well as Dartmoor. The rooms were stylish, clean and well equipped, and Tim gave us some great recommendations for a lovely day trip exploring the local hidden gems. Everything we wanted and more!
Lovely rooms, the bed was so comfy. We ate in the pub and the food was very good and plenty of good beer selection. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was really good too with so much choice.
Very comfortable hotel room set away from the main pub. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great beers on tap. Even let us order a takeaway in when they had stopped serving food. Would definitely go back
Very Friendly and accommodating Host, Great Character/Historic buildings, Warm/Cosy, Lovely Pub, Good Communication from host.
Would stay again and definitely recommend
A couple of niggly bits in both rooms prevented a 9/10 - 10/10 rating
All good Excellent Arthur’s Ale
All good
Used the Crown to catch up with local relatives before Christmas. Great location, friendly staff, great service and will use again in future trips.
Nothing to comment about in this section
We loved the old buildings which were decorated for Christmas. Our room was stylish and cosy. The sherry and homemade biscuits were much appreciated.

Continental Breakfast was included. There was a good range of food available and you could have something cooked at a reduced price. Lovely to see so much local produce available. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the fact that fresh milk was delivered to my room every morning. Bed was very comfortable , room was warm and cosy. Lovely view of the garden.
My bedroom was a garden room, in an outbuilding dating back to the 12th Century and it was lovely. Only a slight problem was the entrance door to my room tended to stick and it took a bit of pulling and shoving to open and close. Not a major issues. Shower pressure could be a bit low, but there was a plenty of hot water.
