County serviced accommodation

The road noise was very loud. As there was no air conditioning had to have window open.
Other occupants above us also very loud, could hear every movement upstairs. Got so bad with sirens and noise that we left after a couple of hours or trying to sleep.
The toilet was very close to the shower, if i would have been any larger i wouldn't have been able to get in - luckily we left before we attempt it.

They cancelled my stay less than 24 hours before I was due to arrive. Did this by messaging me asking me to cancel my end. Sounded like a scam so I had to get Booking dot com staff to deal with it.

The fact they told me to cancel, claimed there was no problem so no refund.
They also was still advertising the same property/rooms for more money for the same date.
Obviously when I booked (6 months ago) they didn't realise that the Foo's were in town and when they did they upped their prices

Dirty, damaged, mouldy bathrooms. Shower bounced from scolding hot to freezing cold, no control of heat. Broken toilet seats. Missing lamp plug, missing remote for TV. Manky seat in room. Dents in wall. Filthy and poor quality bed matress. No confidence insecurity of the main front door.

There was only one of two shared bathrooms working on my floor, neither of which had any toilet roll. The one working bathroom had mold all up one wall. The room had a kettle on the floor with a jar of tea and coffee sachets but no cups. The whole building needs a lot of work to make it feel inviting and welcoming. Vastly overpriced, not justified by the convenience of its closeness to Goodeson Park and Anfield. It makes a Travelodge room seem like the height of luxury. Obviously Booking.com don't have any sort of vetting process.

Communication was poor from the outset. We were given virtually no information until the day before our stay, making the whole process unnecessarily stressful.

The listing advertises “on-street parking”, but fails to mention it requires a permit. The owner says they’ll reimburse you if you get a ticket, but that’s not a risk guests should be expected to take.

The property was in a poor state throughout. Our room was unbearably hot with no effective way to cool it down. Opening the window wasn’t really an option because the property is on a busy main road and traffic noise continued throughout the night. The mattress was stained and the overall standard of cleanliness and maintenance was poor.

The bathrooms were equally disappointing. The showers didn’t work properly and the toilets were scruffy. One sink had a leaking tap, which was clearly a known issue as there was a pile of towels underneath catching the water instead of the tap being repaired.

Most concerning were the maintenance and safety issues. One of the double electrical sockets had a broken front with the internal parts exposed, while the other socket was still powered and charging my phone. The carpets on the stairs were loose with no underlay beneath them, creating a trip hazard. These are basic issues that should have been fixed long before guests arrived.

As an accommodation provider myself, I know the standards guests should expect. My impression was that this host is more focused on maximising revenue than delivering a good guest experience. Most of the issues we found would have been simple and inexpensive to put right.

I’d normally have raised these issues with the host, but after how difficult it was to get even basic information before our stay, I genuinely didn’t think it would achieve anything.

As I mentioned above. At least they should have the courtesy to talk to us and cancell. Even they would have message us whether there is any availability for early check in.rather than they do it bythemselves. What they thinks the customers doesn't have any right here in uk??are they really providing any good service to the customers. I can see a lot of bad experiences from other customers about this hotel..what do I need to get my money back..I have all the proof

Cleanliness of the whole place wasn’t nice. The carpet on the stairs was loose and falling off them. The Saturday a guest arrived to stay in room 6, and was being sick all afternoon. Was very loud while being sick, and he was sick all over one of the bathrooms so we couldn’t use it. It was all down the front of the toilet and in the shower. Lack of toilet roll. Front door is hard to shut behind you when you leave your go out. The guest in room 6 had his tv on so loud till early hours on the morning too.

The whole place was absolutely disgusting. Bathrooms filthy, looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Carpet coming away from the stairs. Only 2 plus in the room worked. Floors filthy. Bed where comfy with clean bedding and towels, which was the only good thing abou the whole stay.

They cancelled at very short notice and left me stranded with 2 kids in Liverpool on a busy weekend. AVOID AT AL COSTS - It was an non refundable booking

Man får nøglerne i en nøgleboks, men vi havde ikke fået en kode. Vi valgte at ringe til dem, men der blev lagt på, og så skrev de "?" i en SMS til mig. Derefter gad de ikke svare mig mere. Der var heldigvis en boks der var låst op, og det eneste personale var en forvirret rengøringsdame. Toiletterne var smalle og ikke interiøret var helt ødelagt.
