Thankfully, the bed was very comfortable (reviews state that beds in Uzbekistan are mostly hard .
Good room, decent space and english speaking staff were available as well. Got a room with a second door that opens to the balcony.
Tourist spots are a bit far, but taxi is available.
There is a restaurant by them downstairs as well.
They did consider my requests for iftar and suhoor, although they end up packing more non veg (I guess - I prefer to be vegetarian.. was missed out).
Staff did help with lifting the luggage up and down the stairs, which was a relief.
They do accept USD.
They do have kettle and iron box.
Few other restaurants are nearby as well.
Poor wifi connection - especially at night.
There was no lift (just letting you know)
The room service staff didn't pick up the garbage from the room the first day. Probably missed out since they did take the washroom trash out. I wasn't aware of the room service time, and the staff opened the room while i was in the room. Despite saying, give me a minute to change. Since the staff was a lady, i wasn't horrified, but still, they need to be patient if they realise someone is inside.
Food needs to have better options for vegetarians since there are a lot of tourists who are skipping the country since veg options are not easily available.
There was a smell inside the washroom whenever the toilet exhaust was kept off. Once you start using, it's okay as well.
Beautiful rooms, centrally located… near to almost all the historical monuments, 12 minutes from the Samarkand railways station… The interiors are very beautiful….
In a day twice of thrice the electricity would go off, no one bothered to turn on the power backup or generators.. it happened during the night also making it very uncomfortable for us to sleep….
Breakfast included in the hotel stay was good, room was clean, AC worked well, wifi, towels, hair dryer, water bottles, etc.
The breakfast schedule should be posted more conspicuously or clearly communicated to guests.
The location of the hotel was fantastic, right next to the Orthodox Church, the park, and only 20km a walk from Registan Square. Getting around Samarkand on foot is easy, even in hot weather!
The restaurant (Istanbul) does excellent kebabs and coffee, and was very much appreciated by me after a long hot drive from Tashkent.
The staff were also brilliant. I had a problem with the air conditioner (which turned out to be broken) on my first night. The staff kindly gave me a room upgrade as a result, and as a result I slept better, and felt great.
Breakfast was great too - the spread is very large, well-prepared and tasty. There’s free water available as well, a blessing in temperatures of 40 Celsius and over.
Only the problem with the air conditioner on the first night, but that was sorted out quickly, and then some!
super clean and comfortable, with awesome view, would stay again
location
key problem, drainage problem in the bath - not addressed after we informed them.
Arba Hotel is located in a nice location, and the staff are very helpful/professional.
Sight seeing desk needs to be available.
A really rich breakfast. A couple of restaurants near the hotel and local food places within walking distance. A nice, well-maintained large park is also within walking distance. The main historical sights are not within walking distance, but not far by taxi. Nice spacious, comfortable room and bathroom. The bed was a little hard for me, but it was fine for my traveling companions. Water, soft drinks and snacks in the room upon arrival. Water bottles can be filled at the water dispensers in the corridor.
Everything about the hotel was great. Location, rooms, bathroom, facilities, breakfast and the staff. Very clean and cosy rooms with all essentials provided. Bathroom was also big and clean. Housekeeping made sure to keep things in order. Location was a plus. Close to city park and Amir Timur statue. Walking distance. Breakfast had a lot of options as well. Staff was particularly helpful. Big shoutout to Islom. Took us out for day trip to nearby mountain ranges, much cheaper than typical guided tours.
Nothing that I'd like to point out.
Very comfortable hotel at a good price, just beside the Catholic Church
The wifi internet was very unpredictable and stopped working altogether one afternoon
The hotel was conveniently located and relatively clean. It was easy to get around the city from the hotel and I appreciated the effort put into maintaining cleanliness.
However, I had a negative experience with the front desk staff member who was working on April 2nd who said he also spoke Korean. When we check-in he offered next day he could take us to historical sites in the area for free using his car, and we appreciated his kindness. The next day, after visiting some sites, we want to hang out by ourselves and told him there was no need to wait us. He began asked us to pay for the car service, which amounted to around 100 USD. Although I was planning to tip him, I was taken aback by the request and ended up arguing with him. In the end, I paid 400,000 Uzbekistani soms, which was a lot of money, and felt cheated. As someone who worked in the hotel, I trusted him and his words, but he ended up deceiving us.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Arba and I must say, it was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs throughout my stay. The hotel was spotless and well-maintained, with perfectly white linens and clean facilities.
My room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the internet was decent – just what I needed to stay connected while away from home.
Hotel Arba is very family-friendly, with a lovely kids' playground that my children thoroughly enjoyed. They loved the innovative swing and slide sets!
The breakfast was delicious, with lots of food to keep me satisfied until lunch. The friendly and happy style of the dining room staff made for a great start to my day.
Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Arba to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The helpful staff, clean facilities, and family-friendly amenities make this hotel an excellent choice for travelers of all kinds. I will definitely be back!
