Location
Location was great, close to Abbey, shops and places to eat.
Nothing
The hotel was spotlessly clean and we liked the fact that dogs were not allowed into the bedrooms. The rooms were spacious, and the location, right in the middle of town and yet close to the train station, was convenient. There was a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Good idea to offer fresh milk and apples in the rooms, and coffee bags rather than an impossible machine. The breakfast menu was limited but what was on offer was well cooked and fresh.
The lighting in the room was too dim for reading. There was not much choice for vegetarians on the evening menu.
pretty poor,
Great staff, good food.
Food was wonderful, service exceptional. The accommodation was superb, comfortable & clean.
Breakfast and food and drink generally very good and staff were all exceptional. Megan stood out but they were all great. Location is superb.
The room was getting a little tired and if im being picky the cleaning was Ok but some of the detail not so good
Nicely decorated - great location. Staff were very pleasant.
Bit hot but upstairs so not surprising. Fan was very efficient which was great as it was pretty hot during our stay.
Great location in the town. Quiet and convenient. Nice little bar and good food. Just what you need. All the staff were very helpful and lot.
The staff were very friendly, room was spotless and the breakfast excellent.

We had the family suite for 4 adults so spacious and lovely decor x
Perfect for us but tall men may have problem with slanting ceiling in bathroom :)
We arrived on Sunday afternoon, checked in and was shown to our room. The room was very nice with views into the historic town of Sherborne. The only disappointment was walking into a freezing cold room as the weather conditions were cold and icy. It would have been nicer to have walked into a warm room. It was easy to resolve and we were soon warm enough. Breakfast was excellent. The cooked breakfast and coffee being the best we had eaten in a long time. We would recommend the Cross Keys for a good place to stay if you are visiting Sherborne and enjoy a town centre location.
Having the heating on before we arrived. 4th January the weather was freezing.
Chants de Noël toute la nuit. Lit peu comfortable.
Magical location in a range of medieval buildings clustering around the Abbey. I had a lovely room overlooking the square - very traditional but with all mod cons, including a powerful shower.Attention to detail eg fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee and a decanter of iced water. Effective and easily adjustable heating. Comfortable bed. Good multi-choice breakfast taken in the pub/restaurant area downstairs. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cheesy piped carols at breakfast (it was near Christmas).
