Central in Sherborne, comfortable bed
Huge amounts of dead flies in the room, with a smell of sewage. No apologies when raised with the staff, and they just opened the windows. Breakfast was reheated and very poor. Bells from local church ring every 15 minutes and neither me nor my colleague was able to sleep with the noise.
Very central location. Breakfast was good.
Very noisy. Bed was hard and not very comfortable. The window had to be propped open to get air in and then the street noise and morning stall step up was very noisy.
Excellent
Very clean and stylish
Nothing
Breakfast was fabulous. Room was good but a lick of paint in various places would make it even better. Wide range of teas/coffee with crisps and fruit a pleasant surprise. Overall a great package.
It's the little things that can make a big difference. Windows in the room could do with a clean.
The breakfast was fresh, local and tasty
Everything was perfect for a clean and comfortable room in an old pub in the centre of Sherbourne. The snack and beverages in the room were a lovely touch, and the bed was very comfortable. It is superbly located in the centre of the city, and some say it is noisy, but we liked waking to the centre coming alive in the morning.
Very comfortable and had a fridge in for fresh milk etc.
a little noise disturbance from other rooms
Location
Location was great, close to Abbey, shops and places to eat.
Nothing
pretty poor,
The hotel was spotlessly clean and we liked the fact that dogs were not allowed into the bedrooms. The rooms were spacious, and the location, right in the middle of town and yet close to the train station, was convenient. There was a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Good idea to offer fresh milk and apples in the rooms, and coffee bags rather than an impossible machine. The breakfast menu was limited but what was on offer was well cooked and fresh.
The lighting in the room was too dim for reading. There was not much choice for vegetarians on the evening menu.
Great staff, good food.
