Great location, disappointing house :(
Pros:

The location of the property is great and there are actually 2 bathrooms (not 1 as stated on the listing) so that was a bonus. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater and the owner/agent was very responsive in assisting us when needed.

Cons:

The property is worn and tired and in great need of improvement (I understand renovations may be in progress) such as the decking around the pool which was cracked/broken in one area, very warped and needs replacing. The roof leaked in multiple places during our stay and whilst I understand it is being worked on, it wasn't a great guest experience. The lighting in the kitchen and lounge at night is very dim. The owner/agent advised us that the loft bedroom is usually only used for children but no mention of that when we booked (we were 4 adults with one adult sleeping in the loft space) and the correct listing information for the property needs to be updated on booking.com. There aren't enough comfortable seats for 4 people in the lounge area and the outdoor furniture could definitely be improved in terms of comfort. I've stayed at a number of properties within the wildlife estate and sadly this doesn't measure up to any of them. There are much better options available for a similar price....

Lovely place!
Pros:

What a wonderful place. Everything you needed. I loved the big glass windows and could see nature all around us.
Very comfortable and loved the small swimming pool on the deck. Will go back for sure ;)

Cons:

Just a suggestion.......... maybe an ambrella on the deck? That would be nice

Great location but not looked after.
Pros:

The location in the wildlife estate, and the bush babies at night.the inverter that keeps the wifi running during load shedding.

Cons:

The place is a little run down and felt like it has not been cared for. The pool deck was coming apart the window frames were also coming apart, alot of light fixtures were poorly done. Very cheap stainless steel tressel table and plastic chairs outside when there is such a nice patio.

A very enjoyable and comfortable stay
Pros:

Impala Cottage is a delightful gem situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, one’s own wildlife place, visited by various game while enjoying the privacy. I was happy with having the whole cottage to myself and when my nephews visited, there was more than enough room for them. The plunge pool was a necessary delight, and made full use of!

Cons:

Without being too picky, there was an issue finding that one air conditioner remote worked for three air conditioners, which I wasn’t aware of. The domestic came to clean daily, and whilst it was perfunctory, it was welcomed. One window in the lounge is in serious need of repair, one light covering in the kitchen came away from the wall and the trash bin was not emptied completely resulting in an overflow and smelly bin in my second week.
