A short stay which absolutely suited my purposes and I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.
Pros:

friendly, helpful staff. location. comfort. Ambience. Stroll on the golf course. room service sandwich was excellent. Good choices of whisky. Dinner was good. like the view to the Tay estuary from my room.

Cons:

While there were plentiful choices at breakfast, and again a nice view of the links (the golfing links) personally I felt some work could be done on the cooked element of the breakfast. I'm afraid in my opinion it was not well cooked, not always hot. having said that I noticed other residents were enjoying the breakfast so clearly this view is a personal one.

The suite is an adjoining room with the tv mounted to the other room making it noisy.

Pros:

Location, rooms were nice and clean.

Cons:

The hotel was busy and it was table service only at the bar. Which meant long waits. The second time we were there after 25 mins of waiting and also attempting to go to the bar and told someone would come over we gave up and left. Kinda soured the experience

Excellent stay. Tom Watson suite was well positioned to watch the golfers come and go.

A must stop if traveling in Scotland
Pros:

This is my second stay at Carnoustie. It is clean, comfortable and the staff is wonderful. Inga was there two years ago and is knowledgeable and friendly. Lisa is very new to the staff and was also amazing and helpful. The spa facility is a great place to relax after a day of golf. Lastly the food in the restaurant was very good
