A favourite when staying in Carnoustie
Pros:

Warm welcome, great location, comfortable, clean rooms. Lovely reception area. Easy to park.

Cons:

I had booked two separate nights and when I requested to stay in the same room both nights ( I wasn’t fussy which) I was told that it would only be possible if I upgraded with additional costs. The alternative would be to check out and wait until checking in time later that day. While the upgraded room, with a view of the golf course was very nice, I would have been just as happy to stay in one of the original rooms that I booked.

Perfect stay especially for golfers.
Pros:

We booked a golf view balcony room which was wonderful as it was sheltered from the wind and warm to sit out on during our visit. Enjoyed sitting out on the terrace for drinks watching the golf as well. Both breakfasts and dinner were very good. All staff were friendly and efficient.

Cons:

Slight issue with our toilet cistern refilling itself during the night making a noise so we reported this to reception as plumber needs to fix. Would prefer to have tea/coffee served at breakfast table rather than having to make it ourselves. A suggestion for the hotel room would be to have coat hooks on the wall on entry as there's plenty room. Have seen this in other hotels and it's very useful for hanging coats/ golf attire.
