A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I had made this booking and provided credit card details for payment guarantee . Payment was to be made directly at time of check in . However immediately after the booking the property contacted me and asked me to transfer advance amount for 1 night for guaranting the reservation. I told him that I had already provided my credit card details as payment guarantee . But he still insisted on advance payment . So I transferred him 1500 by UPI . At time of check in by the person for whom I had made the booking the person at check in desk told that we could make the balance payment the next day . However a received a phone call at around 11 pm from the owner and he started yelling at my as to why full payment was not made at time or check in . He told him it would be done the next day as agreed with the person at the reception desk . He then spoke very rudely and demanded the full payment immediately. He had to transfer the balance amount of 4500/- by UPI at that time . However after receiving the payment he messaged me that my person would need to vacate the next morning and told me to contact booking. Com for refund of 4500/- . At time of forced check out by my person the next morning he again started behaving rudely with my person and demanded that I personally visit his office . This is the most terrible experience for me since I have been using booking.com for several years now . Such properties should not be present on a reputable site like booking.com as these incidents would discourage loyal customers to continue using you for their travel needs . Till date the property has not refunded 4500/- extra I paid for 3 nights .

Good for very young people with no baggage otherwise very bad
Cons:

Distance between main road, location is terrible, no car can enter, this is not good for family. You have to carry your luggage and stairs are too narrow.

I had a good stay in this hôtel. The energy is good with a family vibe. Clean place. Kitchen available. Safe.
Very helpful and kind owner.
The area around is community vibe, with a lot of peace and kindness.

Overall, for a budget stay, it is fully recommended. Good only
Pros:

It is a PG type of room where one can short stay a couple of days for a business trip. Naturally one can't expect staff facilities at this low cost of rent say Rs.1500/night. Be vigilant that no car parking or even a bike parking available. But plenty of all eatables available in the immediate vicinity even at 11:00 pm (night), I comfortably had my dinner at 11:00 pm without feeling the late-night discomfort. Safety of stay (even with family & kids) is assured since the PG is located and surrounded by residential houses and other PGs. Overall, for a budget stay, it is fully recommended.

No significant dislikes to highlight.

If I'm ever in this area again, this is where I'd stay!
Pros:

To be honest I was quite apprehensive before making a booking here, based on the reviews. The property expects full payment shortly after booking (as is mentioned on booking.com), although there is a free cancellation policy in place. This was initially unnerving for me, but I went ahead anyway. I was confused between staying here and Hotel Trending Stay, and although Hotel Trending Stay was cheaper, and didn't require prepayment, I went with staying at a "homestay" rather than a "hotel". And I was NOT disappointed!

I did not try the breakfast or any other meals during my stay, so I cannot comment on the same.

The hotel is located about 100 metres off the main road, making it inaccessible by car and only somewhat accessible by auto-rickshaws. However, the surrounding area felt safe and welcoming, with plenty of food and convenience stores nearby.

The highlight of my stay was the exceptional hospitality. Mr. Sagar and his family go above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable, and the staff’s warmth and promptness exceeded my expectations. The rooms are clean, though slightly worn, reflecting the long-standing nature of the business and the experience of its management. While minor inconveniences arose, they were promptly addressed by the attentive staff.

If you’re visiting one of the nearby hospitals or Jamia Millia Islamia, this is a great budget-friendly option. While it doesn’t offer luxury, it ensures a safe and clean stay with excellent service.

Cons:

The management is upfront about the absence of a lift/elevator, so I was well-prepared for it. However, the staircase leading to the first floor is quite narrow and steep, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues. This is more a consequence of the area's compact layout rather than a fault of the homestay itself. While not a criticism, it's something to keep in mind if you have difficulty with stairs, as navigating them may require extra caution.
