Nothing really
Lovely hotel with amazing garden and great staff. Food also excellent
No issues.
Very friendly staff, seen promptly on check-in and got my car permit sorted. Rooms very clean. Very extensive bar....
Of the two bedside lights, each with 2 bulbs, one bulb had gone in each.
The chair in the room was broken - if you sat back in it the back kept going backwards which levered the back legs inwards. Couldn't sit on it comfortably at all. It looked intact until you sat on it!
I didn't realise until after 10pm and there was no-one around in the morning to report it and unfortunately I needed to head out for a meeting. Room #25 if the hotel is reading these!
Staff were helpful. Bed was comfy.
I expected much more from this hotel the photos sell it as something much more grand and the price was expensive for what it ended up being. Staff very polite and helpful. Car parking not great but was made aware prior to accept that. The price did not match the accommodation
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They cared about every detail, keeping the entire hotel clean, also ensure food service was exceptional.
Not only was Kings excellent, but also its location was perfect for local restaurants - specifically Little Jessie's bakery, Starbucks, Greggs, Unico.
Kings also is not far from the "gallops" where the racehorse's workout each morning!
Kings also right next to the bus stop to travel to the "July Course" racecourse.
The music at nights during the race days was way too loud!
The location was spot on for Newmarket race nights. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The layout of the hotel was nice, lovely outside area. The seating was comfortable, the rooms were great, and there was a DJ and the bar was open till late.
There wasn't anything not to like, other than maybe the car park is small but if you get there early you might get a parking space also you might be able to sleep till early hours if the DJ is playing.
Easy access to the town and racecourse, lovely room, very good with the codes for your room and front door, lovely outside area
The Hotel has a great Bar area & gardens area with many tables and shade; table service is also a big plus as well as a great selection of Lagers and beers as well as Guinness.
On area to look at is the parking area at the front of the building, there are a good number of spaces, nothing is marked out in car bays, a number of cars were not parked correctly and taking up two car spaces, putting parking lines would be a great plus.
Staff were fantastic, i had a late arrival, i informed the reception and they said that it was no problem, the room was mine! The room was fantastic, bed comfortable and clean and aircon a god send.
I will definitely use this facility again!
N/A
Ice cold A/C in room, essential right now in this heatwave. Comfy bed, good shower, large TV, fridge (with water). Ticked all boxes.
Nothing to gripe about. Car park was full, its only small, but NCP around the corner with a 5 minute walk so no problem really. Visiting for the races, so didnt expect your average rate when demand is so high
Staff were very nice
Bed was clean and comfy
Nice fluffy towels
Good location
It was expensive for drinks. Expensive room for what we got - I understand it was during racing weekend.
Aspects of the room were filthy, particularly bathroom.
Large number of stairs, didn’t ask if we were able to climb to attic. No help with luggage. No lift.
Very noisy - loud music playing all the time
Booked a table for meal but no food available
Hospitality very good and helpful
Close to all fercilites
i was asked if I wanted an upgrade on arrival as only booked single room/single bed and for a minimal fee upgraded. Room was exceptionally clean and a great shower + bed was very comfy + great air con. Staff were really helpful and friendly and we stayed to watch the footy in the bar drinking really good quality wine and having fun.
The garden area is lovely and the general atmostphere of the hotel was a really friendly vibe.
Would recommend and stay again if going to Newmarket :-)
