Good location for touring, great facilities, lovely hosts, great homemade food.
Pros:

Claire & Mark were fabulous hosts, very welcoming and friendly. There were three fella's on a one night stop over whilst touring on motorbikes. We were offered secure parking for our bikes in a large outbuilding as well as a drying room if it were needed at no extra charge which was an unexpected bonus. We ate in the bar where the homemade food was just supurb, good portions reasonably priced. Nice bar with an open fire, made welcome by the locals in there so a really nice experience. Breakfast which was inclided in the room price, was again excellent with a choice of continental and or cooked, which was cooked fresh by Claire, plenty of tea/coffee toast as well.

Cons:

There wasn't anything we didn't like, you need to understand what you are booking i.e. its a 17th century building and as such the layout is not a premier inn or travelodge, but a clean comfortable establishment that is very welcoming and well run by a fantastic couple, with a nice bar and fantastic homemade food.

Pros:

The situation was perfect for exploring local attractions. The staff were so friendly & helpful. The bar with a log fire was spot on. Evening meal and breakfast was tasty & portion sizes were generous. The rooms were basic, but clean and tidy & the beds were very comfy. Looking forward to a return visit.
