Did the job?, but could be better with a little investment.
Pros:

The location a the staff were great.

Cons:

It is need of updating, a relatively small amount of investment would make a big difference.

Very welcoming hotel
Pros:

Lovely helpful people gave us a kind and friendly welcome. The hotel has a very homely vibe. My room was perfect, comfy bed, good sized tv, plenty of tea and coffee, useable desk. Food was tasty and waiting staff were great. Very nice breakfast. The garden, possibly the best view ever!

Cons:

Nothing.

A hidden gem
Pros:

The location was central to what we wanted to see. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast choice was varied. The evening meals were varied and excellent. We had an amazing view of the well manicured gardens and surrounding valley.

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike.

Reasonably priced accommodation in a convenient location.
Pros:

The location was very convenient for me. I just “pulled over” and stopped en route to Aberystwyth. It’s on the main road but it didn’t disturb me at all. There is plenty of parking. The menu was quite limited but there was something to cater for everyone and food was freshly prepared and portions were generous. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and all bed linen and towels were very clean. There was a garage with a shop close by too.

Cons:

I struggled to get my suitcase up the steep narrow stairs, through 3 fire doors, to the top floor. The ceiling in my room was low with a beam which meant I couldn’t walk around the one side of the bed. However, the room was perfectly adequate.

Brilliant, we arrived wet from our day on the motorbike, they dried our gear and secured the bike
Pros:

The location was perfect for us, main thoroughfare, but very peaceful. The view over the valley from the dining room and garden was fantastic. I can see why the owners moved from England! 👍
We arrived quite late, as did two cyclists, about an hour later, but our fears of not being fed didnt materialise. The receptionist told us, "Don't worry, no one goes hungry here". Welsh faggots were great 🍴 yum
Staff were brilliant, they sorted our wet gear, offered me the garage to lock the bike in and fed us!.
They were very welcoming and super friendly. Close to Aberystwyth and surrounded by great biking roads. What more could you ask for?

Cons:

We were on the top floor, so up and downstairs with bags etc, with no lift. But that's life, it's a Victorian residence in the countryside, no big deal 😊

Pros:

The owners and staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for us. The food was awesome and the beef pie was exceptional. We met some of the other guests and they were lovely too. Will definitely be going back.

Love this place
Pros:

I've stayed here several times over the years and really like it. It's a small, family run hotel in a lovely location and a great base from which to explore Wales. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help with any queries. The food is excellent too, the garden has some great views and you are free to have a wander up the farm track behind, just right for aiding digestion!

Cons:

Nothing, it is on a main road which may bother some people (depending on your room of course), but it doesn't bother me.
