Hotel Brunette

Our room could use some maintenance. Some of the paint is peeling off the walls in many places, especially the bathroom. The night manager was not very welcoming.

The customer service of the guy at the reception. The room was really dirty. No maintenance at all.

Las instalaciones son defectuosas. Es una casa antigua. Ha de ser difícil y costoso refaccionar una casa y dejarla operativa y bien. Pero los sofás están sucios y manchados, las cortinas tanto del baño como de la habitación están descuidadas y sobre todo ponen entre el colchón y la sábana un trozo de plástico grueso que hace que se sienta muy incómodo al dormir. Creo que sí desean cuidar los colchones pueden encontrar una forma algo más agradable para los pasajeros.

AVOID. AVOID. This hotel lock you in with the big metal doors at night and if there was a fire, you would not get out. I tried to leave at 5am to get my bus and discovered I could not get out. I tried ringing the little bell at reception and rattled the metal doors like crazy and there was no one. I missed my bus which was really annoying, but I dread to think what would happen if there was a fire in the middle of the night. The windows go into the central courtyard area so you would not escape via the windows either. Not nearly as important, but my hot water never worked either which meant cold showers … I was told it was being fixed on the second day, but it wasn’t.

Wasn’t clean, went to check in the the front host was talking on the phone while trying to help us. Not clean at all.

Bathroom smelled a small bit stagnant at times

When I arrived at the hotel on the first evening, the receptionist immediately asked me for payment (I soon understood that this was so that I wouldn't change my mind when I arrived at the room) - I wanted to take a shower right after arriving at the room, but I discovered that the water wasn't running AT ALL!!!

The hotel operator tried to explain to me that this happens, but if I wait for 10, 20 minutes, the water will start flowing (of course I waited long enough before I decided to go to the reception to solve the whole thing)... 

So I suggested whether it was possible to change the room, and I was told that the only alternative was a room without air conditioning, which I agreed to - running water is definitely a higher priority for me than air conditioning... meaning that my stay took place in a room without air conditioning and a fan, where it was terribly hot and on top of that the smell of sewage (the bathroom wall does not reach the ceiling)

Moreover, it was the first room right next to the reception, so noise could be heard until late at night.

One morning at 6:30, guests who couldn't get out of the hotel started knocking on my door frantically because there was no one at the reception and no one responded to the doorbell - according to them, they knew that hotel staff was slept in this room during the night the previous few days.

The mattress on the bed was covered under the sheet with some kind of hard leatherette pad, very uncomfortable to sleep on.

The quality and comfort of the accommodation absolutely did not correspond to the amount paid and after moving to another room the water was flowing, but in a very limited stream.

I definitely cannot recommend this hotel.

Raciomamienuo del agua

Staff at reception nice and welcoming. Booked two rooms and in booking stated had air conditioning. One room only ceiling fan and they move my friend to another room but charge him for the move. Another room the air conditioning not working properly and in Santa Ana it gets really hot.

Also staff had a party that night with DJ and loud music and loud talking until early morning just them. I was so tired fell asleep plus the rain in the zinc ceiling help drown the noise. But some in my group not so lucky and had to go down at 1 am to tell staff to turn down the music it was blasting. Not very considerate for us guests staying. Not sure if they do that every weekend but something to take in mind if want a good night rest may not be the place.
