This is an excellent value boutique hotel, located within easy reach of the main sights, city centre and some great restaurants. The airport is an easy 15 minute Grab taxi ride away . The contact and welcome from the reception staff was very good. Our room was absolutely spotless, well appointed and such a comfortable bed!. We stayed five nights, it was very quiet and secluded. We used this hotel as a base for trips to across the city, and had a relaxing swim in the afternoons. Some great local restaurants were available within walking distance. The hotel food and breakfast was excellent. We had a take away tiffin box for the sunrise visit to Ankor Watt, a nice little touch. This Thee hotel is highly recommended. Thankyou, we’ll be back
All good.
One of the loveliest boutique hotels that we have stayed in on our 2 months of travels. The staff were so wonderful and made you so so welcome. It felt like home. We loved Cambodia too and all the lovely people we met.
Gorgeous spacious room (we had a free upgrade as they were quiet) and beautiful pool outside.
Lovely restaurant with the most delicious food. What makes it so special is that it is a social enterprise and it was lovely to be able to give a little something back.
Will go back to Cambodia just to stay here again!
Nothing. It was all wonderful.
I love the ambiance and the peacefulness
The room was smaller than what I had expected
Owners were around at check in and often other times and were more than happy to recommend things to do and organise rides for us. All the staff were so lovely and helpful.
The breakfast and pool were both really great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
Great location away from the busy roads but still near the center. The room was clean and very spacious. The owners and staff were very helpful, just great!
Property was beautiful, clean, organised and well managed. The staff were friendly, helpful and sent the extra mile with suggestions and assistance with transport and bookings. Breakfasts, which were included were delicious, fresh and a great start to the day
Nothing
We stayed for 9 nights as we loved it so much. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and can't do enough for you. The breakfast is really good and substantial. We also ate dinner here a number of times which is freshly prepared, tasty and good value. The Bygone is linked to a charity and the profits from the cafe go to the charity. We also were impressed with the environmental considerations with refill water provided in glass bottles and newspaper in the bins instead of plastic bags. The location is quiet and just a 15 minute walk from the centre or a 5 minute tuk tuk ride. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. A real home from home.
Nothing.
Gary is an amazing host. He put us in touch with Mr B - a guide who transformed our experience of Cambodia (this is him on Google maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XTThpNiY3CLiZgU88?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy). Also: Huge room. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing (you order a la carte from their cafe!).
Leaving. Nothing else to say here really.
The staff and the atmosphere of the hotel. They are sincerely trying to help, making our trip nicer and easier. We also particularly appreciate their practice of environmentally policy to reduce the waste. :)
Nothing
Staff were very helpful especially when we were not feeling well.
It was all good
Value for money, affordable food, cozy and relaxing feels/ambiance , good place for relaxation, nice pool
This is a small boutique hotel with amazing food. Owners Gary & Wendy and their staff made us feel at home instantly. We loved everything during our 5 nights stay. We used their recommendations for all our activities in Siem Reap: guide, driver, restaurant listing, phare circus…. I highly recommend to stay there for a stay in Siem Reap
If you are a nomad worker and need quality internet for video call this might not be ideal. Everything else was perfect.
The room is spacious and super clean. The staff extrememly friendly, and lovely nooks and spaces to hang out and unwind after a hectic day of sightseeing. They packed us a picnic lunch paying special attention to our dietary restrictions, which was excellent and well packed in lovely steel boxes. We loved the breakfasts which were fresh and super yummy. We absolutely loved the owners- Gary and Wendy who were so warm and welcoming, without being intrusive. It honestly felt like we were a chat with friends! Would absolutely recommend wholeheartedly.
Nothing!
Breakfast was superb. On a quiet location but only 5mins walk from bars etc.
Nothing.
The whole team was very very friendly. It was a feeling like coming home. It was one of the best hotels we visited during our journeys in the last years. We liked EVERYTHING there!!!
A hidden gem of a hotel in a quiet lane but close enough to walk to the river and the markets. Our room was large and the balcony overlooked the pool. The shower was warm with good pressure. The bed was huge and probably the most comfortable we’ve slept in for the last 9 weeks of travel. Good variety of options for breakfast and we also ate lunch and dinner there several times. The pool was wonderfully refreshing after sightseeing in the oppressive heat and humidity. But the best thing about the hotel were the utterly delightful staff! The ladies who work there and the Australian owners are always smiling, helpful, friendly and welcoming.
The air conditioning is not totally effective but ok with an additional fan
