Very enjoyable. We have stayed before and will stay again.
Pros:

The food is lovely - we had breakfast and evening meals, and the pizzas are amazing!

Cons:

The pub has recently had a change of ownership, and the new owners and manager are already making improvements. I'm confident that this will result in a spruce up of the bedrooms

Lovely dog friendly above-the-pub room in a pretty Peak District village
Pros:

Comfortable room above the pub, good to have separate access especially with the dog so not needing to go through the pub to access the room. Great location for exploring the peak district.

Cons:

No food was being served on either night (Friday and Saturday)

Excellent Welcome, great location, good value for money, better than expected.
Pros:

Our room No 3 was spacious & lovely & warm.

Cons:

Oddly the bed & the sofa were very 'springy'.
The black holes in the wood around the base of the shower were a bit disconcerting.

Pros:

This is our 4th Year Christmas break here, so location and Village fantastic

Cons:

No Chefs, lacked atmosphere. Room freezing cold the first night no heating on. Had to ask twice second night for heat. To the point we came home a day early
