Dog friendly, ideal location for touring the Peaks. Friendly staff & service.
Pros:

Ideal location for touring the Peaks with friendly staff & service. Nice breakfast with locally sourced ingredients

Cons:

Room 4 layout is quirky to say the least (low headroom and walk through bathroom).

Nice rooms in a lovely location.
Pros:

Great location in beautiful village. Lovely breakfast. Ate in the restaurant for one of our evening meals, which was lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms were great. Free parking available just outside the property. Plenty of nice walks from the property (we did the Tideswell / Millersdale circular walk. And short drive to lots of lovely places/ villages. We walked up Mam Tor, visited Bakewell, Monsall Head (viaduct and tunnel). This was our first time in the Peak District, and will certainly be back.

Pros:

The pub, staff and location. Cosy room.

Cons:

Poor quality springy mattress, horrible hard pillows, cheap polyester sheets. Heating left on all night. TV didn't work - checked in late and left early so didn't have the opportunity to raise the matters.
Poor night's sleep, so felt crap on my walk.

Very enjoyable. We have stayed before and will stay again.
Pros:

The food is lovely - we had breakfast and evening meals, and the pizzas are amazing!

Cons:

The pub has recently had a change of ownership, and the new owners and manager are already making improvements. I'm confident that this will result in a spruce up of the bedrooms
