Pros:

We spent the last few days of our holiday at Rock Cabanas in Dalawella, and it was a perfect choice to end our trip. We had a very relaxing stay, enjoyed great food, and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

The location is beautiful, right on the beach and just next to the famous Turtle Beach, where you can see turtles and even swim with them.

Our room was very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend Rock Cabanas to anyone looking for a relaxing stay by the sea.

Tolles Hotel mit super nettem und hilfsbereiten Personal. Direkt am Strand gelegen, wo man mit Schildkröten schwimmen kann. Zimmer sind gross umd gut ausgestattet. Frühstück sehr reichhaltig.

Pros:

Ich war Anfang September eine Woche in den Rockside Cabanas in Unawatuna und dies war bereits mein zweiter Aufenthalt dort. Ich kann dieses kleine Hotel wirklich jedem empfehlen, der sich einen familiären Ort wünscht, an dem man wunderbar zur Ruhe kommen und entspannen kann. Ich wohnte in einer Cabana direkt im wunderschönen, sehr gepflegten Garten und konnte meine Tage auf meiner eigenen Terrasse genießen. Auf Wunsch werden dort auch die Mahlzeiten serviert – für mich ein ganz besonderer Luxus. Der Garten lädt einfach dazu ein, zu lesen, sich auszuruhen und die Ruhe zu genießen. Besonders schön ist der neue Pool, in dem man sich wunderbar erfrischen und auch einige kleine Bahnen schwimmen kann. Er wird täglich sehr sorgfältig gepflegt. Die Rockside Cabanas liegen direkt am wunderschönen Strand, dem sogenannten Turtle Beach. Durch eine natürliche Abgrenzung im Meer kann man hier auch bei höheren Wellen wunderbar schwimmen oder einfach im Wasser entspannen. Das gesamte Hotelpersonal ist ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Man hat wirklich das Gefühl, dass sich alle darum bemühen, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Egal, welche Frage man hat oder was man unternehmen möchte – der Manager ist jederzeit ein zuverlässiger und hilfsbereiter Ansprechpartner. Ganz besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Küche. Während meiner Woche dort habe ich mehrere Seafood-Gerichte ausprobiert und alles war immer unglaublich frisch, sehr lecker und wurde auch gern nach meinen persönlichen Wünschen zubereitet. Dazu konnte man wunderbare frische Fruchtsäfte und Lassis bestellen. Auch beim Frühstück wurde sehr aufmerksam auf meine Bedürfnisse eingegangen und mir problemlos ein glutenfreies Frühstück zusammengestellt. Für mich sind die Rockside Cabanas ein ganz besonderer Ort zum Abschalten und Wohlfühlen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Aufenthalt.

Cons:

A lot of monitor lizard around the property, that’s so scary. As well as need to make the stair from the middle side of the hotel not front of the hotel , because it’s just beside the road . Need more security

Pros:

Grote badkamer met heerlijke douche, heel vriendelijk personeel. Mooi huisje met fijne veranda. Heerlijk zwembad en je kunt zo de trap af om in zee te gaan, super met de grote schildpadden

Cons:

We miste de gordijnen, waardoor het erg licht was in de ochtend en de koelkast was niet heel netjes.

Everything. Location, Beautiful environment, friendly and helpfull staff. The cabanas we stayed in where very nice. We stayed with the 5 of us for 4 nights. I think we had almost everything from the menu, the food was very good.

Très bel hôtel de bon standing en bord de mer avec jolie piscine
Pros:

Magnifique piscine , très propre
Vue sur la mer. Très proche de la plage des tortues où on peut voir des tortues nager en liberté
Belles chambres propres et de bon standing. Restaurant sur place avec bonne cuisine et pdj sri lankais ou continentaux
Hôtel manager parle bien anglais et tres serviable.

Cons:

Bruit du train qui passe plusieurs fois par jour.

Very friendly place.
Pros:

Very awesome and super friendly staff.
Heartly welcome and very sweet restaurant employees. The food in the restaurant waa very delicious.The security guard was very helpful and nice.
The Hotel pool and garden is amazing. Location directly at the beach and very close to the turtle beach

Cons:

We had the very standard room. It was ok but could have been cleaner. We asked to change the bedsheets because we had a lot of black short and long hairs in the bed (not ours).
The bathroom was also not too clean and nice.

Excellent value for money in a great spot on the oceanfront.
Pros:

Welcoming staff who looked after us exceptionally well. Everywhere was neat, clean & tidy. Food was great as well as the cocktails. Lovely pool area and the cabanas was overlooking the sea with the turtles in the shallow waters.

Pros:

We had a wonderful week at this lovely hotel. Try and book villa C1 if you can, it's right by the sea with a lovely terrace where you can request to have your breakfast/dinner. It's not located actually on a sandy beach but Turtle beach is less than a minutes walk away , and yes you can swim with the turtles here, but try and do this first thing in the morning and not at the weekend - far too many people, which can't be good for the turtles! The food here is absolutely fantastic, the chef really knows what he's doing in that kitchen! All the staff are wonderful with special mention for manager Asanka, nothing was too much trouble. Also Dinuka and Ranjit were super friendly and great catering for our every need. It would be hard to find a more welcoming hotel along this stretch of beach. Would definitely stay again.
