Lots of free parking, check in was fast and I had an upgrade which was lovely. From a single to a deluxe double. Just WOW although I honestly think all the rooms here would be lovely. Dinner was delicious and the staff are all superb. They clearly love working here and it shows. Again, breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful room with a view of the terrace. Really enjoyable. You can walk into the town centre should you wish and easy access to the main roads to get out and move on easily.

Went with my dog as hotel was pet friendly but could only go in very certain areas of the hotel.
Breakfast and evening food was excellent. The evening menu was quite small, and would have tested a stay of more than a few days, but better a small range well-cooked than Brake Bros from the freezer.
I have already reported to your receptionist when I left. I stayed in Room 12 and the bathroom door knob was impossible to turn with wet hands. Also the loo cistern took about twenty minutes to refill.
Pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful.
The breakfast was a very high standard.
Fresh milk provided in the room which was a nice touch.

No restaurante as refeicoes que fizemos foram sempre muito boas
Preferia que o pequeno almoco fosse buffet e nao fosse preciso pedir tudo o que pretendiamos pois torna tudo um pouco mais lento.
Chegando as 10 da noite nao é possivel comer nada, nem uma simples sande ou tosta, embora o bar ainda esteja aberto pelo menos mais 30 minutos, e era sabado. Nao tem room service.
Dining arrangements, pleasantness of staff, quality of food (breakfast and dinner) and its presentation - all to a very high standard.
The private family event that we attended was very well organised, with excellent catering and helpful staff.

Our room was not up to the same standard as the public areas. The carpet looked as though it needed a good clean and the shower controls were very old fashioned in not having any means of adjusting water pressure with the result that excessive quantities ended up on the floor despite our best efforts. Modern controls would solve the problem!
Love staying here been 4 or 5 times and definitely will be back

The greeting on arrival was very disappointing 4pm like we were an inconvenience
The fire alarm went off early in the morning. The breakfast was overcooked and disappointing we would have expected a higher standard. There was no need for this as residents did not all go into breakfast as soon as we were allowed back in. It was like the food had been cooked a few hours before gone cold and reheated.
Room 12 constant humming noise that made in impossible to sleep - like a white noise.
Regarding the fire alarm being activated naturally we all had to gather outside whilst the issue was investigated. The chefs were smoking in full view of the guests which I thinking was unacceptable and does not make a good impression
Very friendly and helpful welcome. The room was pleasant with a comfortable bed including feather pillows, desk, cupboard/shelves and ensuite. The breakfast menu was excellent and the cooked breakfast (smoked haddock) that I had was very good. The sourdough toast was excellent.
If only the feather pillows were matched with a natural fibre duvet! My room was also obviously a long way from the hot water tank as it took a few minutes to get hot water to the shower and the pressure was not great.
The staff at this hotel were exceptional particularly the young ladies that waited on in the restaurant ,very friendly very attentive and polite
