It was near the centre of town.
First room we were given had no blind or frosted glass in the bathroom window and was overlooked by the building opposite who would be able to see you using the toilet and shower, that room was also filthy with dust and brown stains all over the carpet. The second room was better in that there was a blind in the bathroom, floor was stained though. There is a bar opposite and one underneath that play loud music until 2.30am and it is impossible to sleep. No working wi-fi and the TV didn't work either, the remote control provided being from a completely different make/model of TV. Bed was rock hard and shower only warmed up after 10 minutes.
Good location.
Cleanliness very poor, things broken in the room, pubic hair in the bed and shower. Lots of dented items and fixings. The photos hide a lot. Put a dampener on a birthday weekend.
Central location
Relatively quiet
bins not emptied daily.
instructions on how to use the shower could be supplied.
wifi connection was intermittent
Lovely and I have stayed before
Dark on entry! The people staying in adjoining room where having loud sex!
Centrally located.
Good sized room.
Tea & coffee facilities in the room.
Entrance poorly lit, struggled with the fob but luckily the guy in the laundrette helped me. Communal areas are dirty & need an overhaul. Room wasn’t that clean - tired, marks on duvet and shower head needed a clean. No blind so lights from street kept me awake as did the people in the pub next door (sometimes so loud I thought they were in my room!)
I had a very disappointing and stressful experience at Riize Boutique Hotel Worcester. I paid £25 for early check-in at 1:30pm but was not sent the room code or given access until 3:30pm. This completely defeated the purpose of paying for early check-in and caused a lot of unnecessary stress.
When I finally got into the room, it was not set up as requested (I had asked for a twin room) and it was not clean. There was a mouldy bottle of water in the fridge, and the tea and coffee provided were old and stale.
I tried to contact the property multiple times using the phone numbers provided on Booking.com, leaving voicemails and messages, but no one ever responded. There seems to be no reliable way of communicating with the property, which made an already stressful situation even worse.
After my stay, I contacted Riize directly and through Booking.com with evidence of my calls and messages, but Riize has continually denied responsibility and claimed I didn’t try to contact them. Their communication has been shocking and they’ve made no real effort to resolve the issue. Although the £25 early check-in fee was eventually refunded, the rest of the stay remains unresolved. (It's been over a month since the stay) this has left me feeling very frustrated with both the service and how my complaint has been handled.
Overall, my experience was frustrating, stressful, and far below what I expected. I would not recommend staying here until the property improves its communication, cleanliness, and accountability.
Very dirty
Urine
The decor was attractive and the bathroom was good. It’s in a central location in Worcester. Great if you are with friends and wanting a fun night out.
There was noise from the bar next door until after midnight. The other residents returned late and were quite loud after a night out - the walls are very thin. The floor was uneven and the staircase quite steep with narrow steps.
Good position and bed comfy
Stairs
Bed was comfy, shower hot
No working wifi or tv on arrival. Took many messages and a full day to rectify the problem through a room change. No ability to talk to anybody directly.
I arrived to check in at 11:30pm, after collecting my key and heading to my room. The fob did not work on the door and would not open, it was late and I was tired and just wanted to get to bed. Nobody was there to help me so I went on the live chat for assistance and they sent me to manual codes for the door but both did not work. After about 15-20 minutes of trying things they gave me a code for the room downstairs. I paid for a Queen room and the alternative room downstairs had a much smaller bed that what I was expecting.
In the morning before checking out I went for a shower and must say it was terrible, although it was warm the pressure was non existent and I might as well have stood under a tap.
I have tried to speak to someone about a refund or some compensation but there is no communication coming back to me hence leaving this review, I would always give someone the chance to make it right before leaving a negative review.
But overall I was really disappointed with the experience and would stay clear.
Everything
Good breakfast and nicely furnished room. Good location and easy parking.
No batteries in the TV remote, no Staff available on the 24/7 chat and no WiFi at the top of the building (Room 4), so not all as promised, and the rooms are not cheap when compared to a reasonable budget hotel where most things work and you can get hold of reception. Tried to get a response before putting review on, but owners obviously not too interested in the feedback.
