Before I book this hotel I’ve seen glowing reviews about the manager and when I met him, he passed way above my expectations. He is truly the gem of the property!

I understand that we arrived late and I’m surprised that he still made sure that we were properly introduced to the resident cats! They are all cute! He even allowed us to carry the outside cat on our shoulders. The following day, he drove us to the port and he went an extra mile to lend us cash because what we have is not enough! (Let it serve as a hard lesson!) Ferry fee costs ¥1,250 one way and ¥2,500 for return. We were so embarrassed yet he made sure that we’ll get to Tashirojima island by hook or by crook. :,) We’re truly grateful for his kindness. He even waved our ferry goodbye! (We paid him back after the trip!) And yes, he took us to ishinomaki station to catch our train to Sendai. We couldn’t thank him enough. What a hero. Everyone, please, if you decide to visit Tashirojima island! Stay in Ishinomaki and stay in Tama hotel! You’ll never regret it! :)

貓的家在隔壁棟，進去是用餐區，右手邊的門進去才是貓屋，但貓屋的貓味比較重，看自己在不在意
馬路對面有姊妹館，一樓有沐浴鹽、腳踏車、漫畫和酒等都可以使用
老闆很熱情，抱一隻貓給我們抱，還送貓的徽章，聽我們隔天要去貓島，就先查資訊告訴我們可能不會開船
隔天還先帶我們去麵包店，讓我們挑選想吃麵包招待我們，麵包很好吃，再帶我們去港口搭船，雖然最後還是因為風太大沒開船，很可惜
三人房裡面有4種威士忌可以喝，很大間
單人房的蓮蓬頭是貓腳造型的，很可愛，還可以切換噴水的模式，但我住的那間蓮蓬頭跟管子連接處會噴水，所以洗頭髮還會噴到臉
老闆有翻譯機，可以直接跟老闆對話

The owner was amazing and so welcoming. The rooms were spacious and had good air conditioning.

Mino was the best host! He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. You can tell he loves what he does and is friends with everyone he meets.

毎年利用させていただいており、今回も愛犬と一緒に行ったのですが、マットをひいてくれたり愛犬へも配慮してくれたり、急遽プランを変更していただいたのですが丁寧な対応をして下さりとてもいい思い出の旅行になりました!!
お部屋も綺麗でウエルカムワインやおつまみや漫画だったりが整備されててとても満足でした!!

This was by far the most hospitable hotel I stayed at during my trip to Japan. Not only were the cats cute and fun to interact with, but the hosts made the experience unforgettable. From the tour of the hotel to the drive to the train station, they continuously went over the top to provide a wonderful experience. I don't want to give away all of the special surprises, but I felt really taken care of the entire time. The amenities were also amazing.

I was traveling solo with my 5 year old son, which can be stressful at times, but this hotel was so welcoming. My son is still talking about Tama the cat manager. I really appreciate our time there and hope to go back again in the future. I have already recommended this hotel to multiple friends.

If you are considering going to cat island or just exploring Ishinomaki I would absolutely recommend staying here.

I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but there was a Starbucks and a couple restaurants within a third of a mile or so. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. My room was fairly spacious by Japanese standards, too.

The gem of this hotel is certainly its very hospitable owner! The hotel itself was probably about what you would expect for the area and it's within walking distance to the train station. The hotel itself has a cat cafe where I was able to visit the cats in the morning as well as for their dinner time. The owner was also kind enough to drive me to and from the port to go to Cat Island and even helped me get a ticket for the ferry. If you're planning to go to Cat Island, I would highly recommend staying here!

Mr Tama was well prepared for my trip to the nearby cat island the next day, gping above and beyond in not only going through the ferrys schedule but also providing a taxi to the dock and back to the station afterwards at no extra charge! The cats at the hotel are well cared for and staff made an active effort to ensure all customers got to enjoy themselves.

This is a lovely location in a small quiet port town. The reason I chose this location was because this is the port town to access Tashirojima (Cat Island) via ferry. Anyone who plans to visit the island, this is the perfect hotel to stay on the mainland. The hotel has all the basic amenities that one would expect at a hotel (pajamas, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.) but with an extra bonus. In one wing of the hotel, there are 12 lovely cats that the owners take care of and you can visit them. The owners even let me help feed them dinner, which was a fun time. The hosts even went above and beyond and asked if I would like a ride to the ferry port for Tashirojima, which I gladly accepted as it is a 40 minute walk from the hotel to Ajishima Chuo Port. I would definitely come back here again next time especially with my family who loves cats.

The hotel manager was amazing. He went above and beyond to help us have a good trip. When there was a problem with the trains being cancelled, he offered to drive us to our next stop. The hotel was great, and it had cats that were super friendly. Overall, the best experience with a hotel that I have ever had. Highly recommend Tama Hotel!
