Fabulous break a short drive from the city.
Pros:

We booked here last minute and it was the perfect end to a good Christmas. The hotel was gorgeous, we were in room 11 and it was amazing, more like a suite than a room. We were very impressed with it. The bathroom was fabulous with a lovely stand alone bath and double shower. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Service was good, food was gorgeous and staff were very friendly. The bar had a blazing open fire making it very cosy. It was a really enjoyable break and hope to go back soon.

Cons:

All was good apart from the room was a little chilly when we arrived and we asked for more heat and they sorted it straight away.

Comfortable & Cosy Stay as a Getaway for One Night
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The food was excellent — both dinner and breakfast offered plenty of tasty options. The bar area was comfy and cosy, perfect for relaxing in the evening. The location was ideal, just 30 minutes from the city centre but peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views of the river and a lovely area for walking. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Overall, a great stay in a scenic and relaxing spot.

Cons:

In the bedroom and bathroom, we did notice some cobwebs and dust around the ceiling, which could use a bit more attention.

All in all a very nice place to stay, with nice grounds.
Pros:

The breakfast was very good with quite a few options.

Cons:

There weren't enough wash cloths for 3 people, but most of the bathrooms in Ireland didn't have wash cloths. The bathroom mirror was dusty but since it was a very ornate mirror I imagine it would be difficult to keep all the 'curlicues' clean.

Pros:

The location of the hotel is amazing. It was very peaceful to be able to sit outside on a late summers evening and enjoy a drink in such lovely surroundings. Lovely rooms and great atmosphere throughout
