Fantastic location
No comment the stay was perfect
First rate from start to finish. What was a real joy was waitress service at breakfast-I’d forgotten that luxury
Clean, modern, convenient

Tolles Frühstück.
Toller Service.
I want to say first of all that the reception staff at this lovely hotel were amazing. I had booked for a single night's stay but the day before our arrival I noticed that our booking was for the wrong day! I tried to call the hotel, but all their phones were out so I emailed them, and someone called me back within minutes. It appeared that either I or the hotel had made an error, and we had no booking for the following night, disaster! But no, there was a room available, not the one I had booked but, if we could walk up forty steps and were prepared to stay in the 'annex', then we could have it instead. Well, yes please! When we arrived, we were permitted to park on the cathedral grounds at 10am, instead of the usual 3pm entry time, and our room was available for us to book in to. Armed with the key we were taken to a second floor apartment with two double bedrooms, a sitting room with a lovely view of the cathedral and a fully equipped kitchen! Everything was clean, everything worked, including the heating, which was very efficient, and the bed was very comfortable. After an excellent sleep we were given a splendid breakfast in the dining room, all waiter-service and delicious. There is also an extremely reasonable cafe/sitting room/bar which serves hot drinks and cake to the weary traveller. By staying at this hotel you can gain free, unlimited, access to the cathedral and its grounds, which would normally cost £25. If you are visiting Canterbury, I really can't recommend this lovely 4 star hotel enough. To walk around the cathedral grounds at night is a magical experience, which we would have missed had it not been for the very helpful and friendly reception staff.
Fabulous location.
Friendly staff. Easy access. Great breakfast.
Die Lage direkt bei der Kathedrale ist sehr gut und das auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen.
Die Zimmer sind eher klein und auch das Bett ist für ein Doppelzimmer zu schmal.
Where it is situated
Nothing really
The location, although a little challenging for our satnav to find was excellent with an amazing view of the cathedral.
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.
I suggest buying a professional coffee machine to complement the great breakfast etc. The filtered coffee was terrible.
Perfect experience for a one night stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was excellent.
The efficiency and friendliness of staff was faultless.
Position in the town was fantastic.
I had a lovely room
The internet service was rubbish but they'd just had a power cut so that seems forgivable.
The breakfast included was ok. The eggs benedict were nice - sauce a little salty, but that was nice.
The 'juice' I was given was cheap apple squash. I asked for orange instead and was given heavily diluted orange juice.

Breakfast was fine but not amazing.
Black mould around base of shower cabinet.
Very clean & central, with really friendly staff.
the location is amazing!
it's a bit tired in places. the stairs in the annex you have to take carefully. No stand up shower and no lift so if you have mobility issues you should book a ground floor room.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly
Very convenient car park
Fantastic location for walking around Canterbury
Free admission to the cathedral was included in the price, making it very good value for money
We stayed in the annexe. The approach to our room (304) was not very pleasant as the stairway smelt unpleasant and the decor was very drab. The shower room could do with an upgrade.
Another big problem was that we like sleeping with the window open, but noise from passers by until about 1am was terrible and the builders working nearby started to use noisy machinery early in the morning.
Overall our scores would have been much more positive if we had not stayed in the annexe
