Very rustic n basic but with a fantastic cooked breakfast and very friendly staff when u could find them
Pros:

The fact that it was dog friendly and staff were very accommodating and moved us to a new room as the first one was too hot and the window wouldn’t open

Cons:

There was no sugar in the room and couldn’t find any staff until 9.30 am .. Also no hairdryer n again no one to ask for one until after shower so couldn’t get hair wet

Pros:

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive, making check-in smooth and hassle-free.
The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. I especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities and the attention to detail, which made the stay feel luxurious and relaxing
And the cherry on top they allow dogs to stay here so we don't have to leave our dog behind. Yeah
I look forward to returning in the future!

A very pleasant stay in a lovely part of England
Pros:

The 'Full English' breakfast was excellent, especially the rashers and the eggs!
The landlady was extremely welcoming and obliging, as were the other staff we came across.
The inn is a lovely old building and is currently being refurbished while maintaining its traditional charm.

OK but could do better
Pros:

Very friendly staff, huge breakfast. Felt sorry for the lady who was running the place and seemed rather overloaded.

Cons:

Steep stairs, could have used a little more attention to the details when cleaning. Shower hose leaking. Some road traffic noise.

I had a great stay, staff was lovely.
Pros:

had a wonderful stay at The White Hart Inn in the beautiful Forest of Dean. The friendly staff made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived. And the breakfast? Simply outstanding! A perfect start to each day. I'd definitely return.

Cons:

My only slight note would be that the room furniture felt like it was in the way, it had a massive sofa and cupboards that felt out of place.
