1.On arrival entered bar looking for reception area asked barman and he was doing the check in and was not at all welcoming.gave me room key and left me to find room myself which i couldn.t.som 10 minutes later after complaing he eventually took me to our room via a lift and a series of doorways.the room was 103 but the 0 was missing and i.d read it as 113. 2.there was no control for air conditioner / heater or for the t.v. on asking for controls the same un cooperative barman said i.there was a e30 deposit required ? A ludicrous policy which was not mentioned on their "policy" statement.3.no bathplug and barman would not give me one. 4.no glasses in bathroom and said barman would not give me any but eventually gave me two paper cups.

The coffee was good , the food was good and the lady who served us was very helpful.
The room had no heating other than a very small oil filled heater which didn’t make any difference.The room needed a lot of maintenance as did the building. There was only one pillow each and no blankets on the bed, just the spares on a shelf. It’s January and there is snow all round. There is no heating in the bathroom and nowhere to put your toiletries. The place is very old.
Location is ideal. Off the south bound motorway and yet out the back of hostal there were fields to give the dog a good walk. Also for what we needed the food was good and good value for money. The shower worked well and was nice and hot.
They clearly knew that the heating was not working in our bedroom and as it was January the bedroom was cold. There were 2 radiators in the bedroom / bathroom and an air conditioning unit all of which were not working. They had provided a small electric plug in radiator but that was not up to the job for the size of the room.
In addition the hallway outside the bedroom was very dark and the lights were not working.
We did report both issues to the staff but neither had been resolved before we left from our 1 night stay. Certainly the heating for the winter months needs to be resolved fir future guests.
