Lovely views of the volcanos and the lake. Staff were fantastic.

Un endroit splendide avec une vue incroyable sur le lac ! Ivan et toute son équipe ont été d’une grande gentillesse et très attentifs à nos besoins. Ivan nous a même organisé un tour avec guide pour visiter les Twin Lakes, une expérience inoubliable. L’accueil est chaleureux et on se sent vraiment bien pris en charge.

Attention : l’accès en voiture directement est fortement déconseillé, il est vivement conseillé de garer la voiture de l’autre côté du lac et venir en bateau, ce qui ajoute d’ailleurs un charme supplémentaire à l’arrivée. Possibilité également de réserver des vélos à l’avance pour découvrir la région autrement. Une vraie pépite que nous recommandons sans hésitation !

After a short boat trip we were welcomed by the staff that carried our luggage up the hill, halfway we were met with welcome drinks. The rooms are small houses that have an amazing view over the lake and the mountains.

The place feels very modern and the staff is amazing! They took care of our every need. Before and after each meal you get a refreshing hot towel. The next best thing after the view is the food. They have a great chef!

It's about a 45 minute drive to the Vulcano National Park, so ideal if you want to go Gorilla tracking or hiking.

If you are self-driving, you have to park your car at the secure pier north of the hotel (it's called "Boating Pier" on Google maps).

Vincent and all the staff were so friendly, and went the extra mile to make our very short stay, celebrating our wedding anniversary, so amazing and special. Attention to detail and warm hospitality, made our stay so special, and memorable. Stunning location and great service, highly recommended!

The location of this accommodation is absolutely outstanding – with breathtaking views over the lake and the volcanoes of the surrounding national park.

A special highlight was the restaurant: the breakfast as well as the dinner was incredibly delicious, and the service was very warm and attentive. A big thank you to Ester and the entire kitchen team – they made me feel genuinely cared for and welcome.

The accommodation also organizes activities. I did a guided hike (3-4 hours) between the Twinlakes with Enock, which was absolutely beautiful and something I can recommend 100%.

The easiest way to get to the property is by boat. You drive to the Boating Pier, located north of the accommodation, where you’ll find a guarded parking area. From there, a boat takes you across the lake directly to the property – a smooth and scenic way to arrive.

An amazing stay at My Hill! Gervais, Vincent and the team (especially Esther and Solver!) took fantastic care of us from start to finish, helping to organise gorilla trekking permit and transport and even helping with the bus back to Kigali! Always super responsive and nothing was too much trouble, the team made the trip really special.
Other highlights include the boat trip across the lake, the delicious big fish, the incredible and giant breakfast every day and the cosy campfire every evening (extra cosy with a hot chocolate!) - and of course, delicious coffee.
The location is also incredible, with beautiful views across the lake (we spent hours watching the weather and the eagles) and an easy track for hiking nearby. Plus the rooms are extremely comfortable, and again, with beautiful views.

The service was just awesome. Vincent and Enock are great at anticipating customers' needs. The view is out of this world.

Beautiful hotel room with an amazing view. Quiet and peaceful. There's a nice restaurant there with a fire pit. Don't follow google maps and attempt to drive the whole way. It's not possible if you're not a local. Take the nice boat trip over the lake instead. You'll enjoy it. Arrange with the hotel when you are going to arrive in advance and they'll wait for you. Worth a visit!

Very remote and special place overlooking Lake Ruhondo. Staff super friendly and got a beautiful room upgrade. Fish came right from the lake and super tasty. Not much to do but a great place to unwind.
