Second time staying, I think it'll be the last.
Pros:

For a twin room (Room 406)the space was ok however beds frame/legs extend a bit too much and there was a few shin to wood bruising contacts. The shower temperature for hot water was better at sunrise and around midnight.

Cons:

The lock on the room door was not able to lock, the door or frame needs repositioning or the lock housing to be made bigger as the lock is about 5mm lower than the hole iit should go in. The shower temperature for hot water was better at sunrise and around midnight. The aircon was very noisy. The view is of a building a couple of feet away, don't open your curtains if expect privacy.
The rooftop bar only had beer, I chose this hotel because of the food, wines, atmosphere that was there 6 months ago, now it's very disappointing

My stay at Mettavary Hotel was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish.

The check-in process was quick, smooth, and efficient, and I was immediately welcomed by a team of genuinely friendly and professional staff.

I would like to give a special thank you to Jasmine, Sarat, and Tony for their exceptional kindness and hospitality. They went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. As someone who lives in Siem Reap, navigating Phnom Penh can be quite overwhelming, especially with my first journey through the new airport. Their patience, helpful recommendations, assistance with bookings, and willingness to answer all my questions significantly eased my anxiety.

From the moment I arrived, they treated me with warmth, respect, and genuine care. Their outstanding customer service made a lasting impression, and I am incredibly grateful for everything they did to help me.

Thank you to the entire team at Mettavary Hotel for such a welcoming experience. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Phnom Penh.

Personne ne parle le Français donc très compliqué de communiquer avec le personnel.

Pros:

Very nice and friendly staff.

Cons:

A bit noisy at night because of the bars and nightclubs nearby, but not too bad and I think it depends on which room you stay in.

Al haber muchos bares en el barrio, hay música y gritos hasta muy tarde de madrugada. Es difícil dormir sin tenes el sueño liviano.

Pros:

Everything.. was there a week while on work. Spacious and comfortable. Although one can hear music blaring from from the clubs in Basac and take a night or so of getting used to. Every staff went out of their help to help whenever needed, super friendly and helpful with booking travel needs. The dinner and breakfast team was just as awesome with their delicious meals, served with local and fresh fruits. Had some drinks on the rooftop enjoying the view and sunset and a swim on a hot day. Very well located, just mins from pretty much any landmark in the city in all directions. Shout out to Kelly, Lora, Luma and everyone from the hotels front desk.

Cons:

The elevator broke down and it needed spares to be imported from overseas and was out of action for days! Thankfully was on floor 2 and not 10! Although the hotel threw in a 30% discount on their food and beverage to make up.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are good, beds are very comfy and the roof pool is a treasure.

Cons:

The hotel is near Bassac lane and it can get quite noisy on the weekend. Bring earplugs with you.
