A quiet, free place even in a busy area..
This place really good for who come to unawatuna to saty few days.the room was good condition and comfortable...and also they have nice pool.
But one bad thing... water in the barthroom not good.some time it was a some smell.and also water colour was not clear.
The facilities were lovely, the room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was great!
It can be a little bit tricky to find, especially with Ubers and tuk tuks not knowing where to go. The staff were lovely but rarely available at reception
We had an amazing experience, the room was spacious, modern and clean. The pool and outdoor area was really nice and surrounded by nature. The staff member was exceptional, helpful and kind!

Near the beach ( I think Mirissa is better) and the fruit seller.
Near the beach but so far is the walking street with retaurants. You have to walk on the road, and after sundown is little bit dangerous. The photos are old I think, because this is the shabby hotel/homestay. We were there 3 nights and there was no cleaning during this time (garbage disposal etc) There was no hot water, we ask, but they failed to turn it on in any time. The door can be locked from the outside with a padlock and from the inside with a slide lock, so it's as if it were open, noise, light, everything filters in. The window cannot be opened because of the mosquitos. And there is only a blackout curtain, which you do not pull, because then they can see in from the neighboring balcony, so there is no natural light in the room The breakfast is 6 USD/person, it is little bit expensive. I do not understand the all good valuation, the accomodation could use a renovation.

Great owner and place! The best we have had so far. Helped us with the bus at the airport, offered late check out. Great experience! Highly recommended!
Best staff, who went above and beyond to ensure us a good time. The breakfast was a lot and very good and they made sure to come up with new variations every day and cared for us being vegetarian as well. During breakfast, we could see monkeys in the surrounding area almost everyday.
The pool was clean and the room spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Had a great relaxing week of vacation.

The manager is an extremely kind and smart guy. Since the hotel was not full, we received an upgrade. The room was very spacious, practical and clean. The hotel has a number of patio’s where it is very nice to sit. The pool is also a treat, even so close to the beach.
The town is strongly oriented on the many russian tourists.
Chamod was an excellent host. We had a lovely time at Urchin where we felt very at home. The pool was very relaxing and the beach just a stones throw. Lots of amazing places to eat around, with the majority just under a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Chamod helped with everything we needed and more, the room was excellent, very clean with great AC. We will definitely stay here again!

It was a lovely staying. Very relaxed and peacefull surrounding. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Really nice outdoor swimmingpool. The staff was very friendly and were happy to help us out with anything we asked. Would highly recommend to stay here :)
