The reception team was very helpful, and the staff knowing multiple languages was very beneficial. The close proximity of the hotel to Masjid Nabawi made our visit to Madinah easier and stress-free.
We thought that the decor was outdated and that the bathrooms were unclean and needed refurbishing. The furniture and dark colour palette of the interiors of the room and corridors by extension led to the overall low quality feel. Also, stains were left on the white bed sheets and the towels.
I stayed for 5 nights at Nozul Al Rawdah in Madinah, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The room was not maintained to the standard I expected, and I repeatedly had to ask for fresh bedding and towels. The phones in the room also did not work, so whenever there was an issue or I needed to make a request, I had to go all the way downstairs to reception. On a couple of occasions, the safe would not unlock, meaning I had to go down from the 8th floor to get someone to assist.
The one major positive is the location. The hotel is very close to Gate 318 at Masjid An-Nabawi — literally a straight line from the hotel to the gate, which is extremely convenient.
Unfortunately, despite the excellent location, I would not stay here again. The service, housekeeping and facilities need significant improvement.
The location of the hotel was very close to the masjid, meaning getting there was very easy.
The room was dirty upon arrival, the beds had been made but that was about it. We were placed in a quad bedroom which clearly was 2 singles that they decided to transform by just adding 2 extra beds, meaning that there was very little space to move around the room. In addition to that, the bedroom had a door which was connected to the next room. We complained about this door to several members of staff who all claimed it was nothing until one of them actually explained the fact that it connected to the next room but there's also another door right behind it which was unopenable from our end.
The staff for the most part were very friendly. However, their friendliness didn't translate to usefulness. When requests were made regarding work needed for the room, the person you'd speak to would 'call someone' to solve the problem yet it'd take hours for anything to be done or for someone to actually address your problem.
Location was brilliant. Good wheelchair access. Reception staff were polite and professional.
The rooms were not big enough. I had a two 4 bedroom rooms and there was not enough space to put our bags. The bathrooms were outdated and were unclean. The bathrooms had a very bad urine smell to them throughout our stay. It was quite dark in the rooms with very poor lighting. The bedding had stains on them and were not very clean. We stayed for 10 days and only had our room cleaned once and that was after we complained. The house-keeping was not the best to be honest. Wifi was very poor at times.
