Nothing!
Arrived at the venue with no communication from owner, to find there was no reception, instead a sign saying to check in at Thai restaurant bar. Thai restaurant was closed. Rang them using the number provided on booking.com. She was SO RUDE to me, shouting at me down the phone, made me cry. At this point I’m sat in my car outside crying while she shouts telling me she already sent my room code (which she hadn’t). She thinks realises she had confused me for someone else, finally sends me the code. When you walk in, your face is swarmed with flys. Go up to room, fancy hi-tech door code, but the room was definitely not fancy at all! Was dirty, crowded, VERY outdated, cigarette burns on the cushioned ledge by window. After crying that I wanted to go home, I managed to survive the night, with my bags against the back of the door as I was panicking that I couldn’t double lock it and she knew the code so could walk in at any minute as there was no lock from the inside! I then woke up to get a shower to find bugs on the towels she had provided, like little bed bugs, mite sized. I hated it! Worst night stay of my life!!
Super friendly and helpful host made sure we had everything we needed on our stay. Thank you!
Location was good
Room was filthy and so hot it was uncomfortable the fan provided was filthy with dust. The bathroom was mouldy and all of the floor edging broken and rotten
The room was clean and tidy but very small.
There wasn't any windows so no fresh air the room temperature was unbearable and I couldn't get comfortable
Easy to get into the room
Restaurant was closed
The location was very convenient. The room was clean. I'm home now.
The walls and floors are paper thin. You can hear absolutely everything that the other guests are doing (and they can hear you). On both nights, we were kept awake by noisy guests until around 1am - 2am. The second night I had earplugs, but the noise of two people drinking and chatting still got through. It seemed like they were right outside my door, but my son was in another room, and he said the same, so that shows how thin the wall are.
The location
The room was at the top of the building accessible only by a rickety spiral staircase with a handrail sellotaped together. The room had no visible means of escape should there be a fire or smoke from the lower levels. The TV remote was inoperative I had to bung up a drafty hole above the bed with a towel. A board fell exposing the wiring in the wall. Otherwise all ok.
Good location, quiet area.
Very comfortable bed
Very thin walls, could hear the conversation happening in the room next door to us.
Only stayed one night where the restaurant was closed so don’t know if the noise from there also carries
Convenient location, well priced.
Tiny room, absolutely boiling hot. No food option.
Good location by lovely park & near centre of town; spacious rooms.
A little rundown compared to photo.
No breakfast

Informal
Good central but quiet location in Whitchurch, with on-site parking. Room was well-equipped with everything you need. Good shower and two chairs in the room.
Bed and pillows just about OK, but not luxuriously comfortable!
We were given a larger room on the 1st floor and were able to keep our bicycles in the room. Even though it was a heat wave outside, the room had a very good fan that circulated the air well. Comfortable bed and good room darkening curtains. Also really liked that our room had a small refrigerator. Lovely quiet location close to a large park as well as the town centre
I wasn’t a fan of the bathroom design which was all in one with a shower not separated from the rest of the bathroom. This resulted in a very wet floor that took forever to dry and i was concerned about slipping. Also the TV in the bedroom didn’t work with the remote, the wifi code given didn’t match the wifi offered but at least we could hook onto the next door restaurants wifi. When we arrived we hadn’t been provided with the check-in information and had to phone the accommodation and it seemed the phone was likely answered by an AI system and we didn’t get into our room until I finally sent a message through our booking link.
