Pros:

The hosts were nice enough for us to stay a couple days longer than what I booked. The location is good, the whole city is pretty much walkable, so we could go anywhere by foot. The hosts offered us their garage for our bike but it was too inconvenient for us to park there so we parked next to the guesthouse gates.

Cons:

The room is so small and tight that you can barely move around… They don’t have either closets, nor shelves for clothes so we couldn’t unpack our bags at all. There is no washing machine so you have to ask the hosts to wash your stuff in theirs. Plus there is no AC in the room so it was pretty much impossible to stay there during sunny midday.

Also when I booked the stay and arrived at the property, they complained A LOT about someone booking their stay for the next day and them forgetting to change the availability on Booking. They agreed on our stay for another 3 days but suddenly asked us to move to another room, but we disagreed and stayed there. We had to leave 1 day earlier due to emergency reasons and the hosts promised us a refund for that day but they never refunded.

Plus the whole place was filled with mosquitoes since the guesthouse is located near the small river and as the net on the window was torn, the moment we turned on the lights the room would get swarmed with insects.

Pros:

Booked a room for overnight after crossing the Turkey\Georgia border at Vale checkpoint on a 3800km car rally from Alanya to Moscow. Best place your 10 euro (single room\night) can buy in Akhaltsikhe. Very attentive host.
