Excellent cafe on site with delicious breakfast and lunch choices. Big portions and fair prices. Quiet, spacious rooms with views. Convenient location for access to Edinburgh, Stirling, Dunfermline, St. Andrews etc.
As with all hotels the quilts would be more suited to Iceland. Thinner quilts with a blanket option for the cold blooded would be preferable.

Der Check in funktionierte problemlos
Die Zimmerbeschreibung sollte aus meiner Sicht angepasst werden. Anstelle von „Zimmer mit Aussicht“ wäre „Zimmer mit Fenster“ treffender. Die Aussicht bestand lediglich auf Mülltonnen.
Bereits um 7:30 Uhr morgens wurden die Mülltonnen direkt vor dem Fenster verschoben, was mit erheblichem Lärm verbunden war. Kurz darauf wurde die Belüftungsanlage des Frühstücksbistros eingeschaltet. Dadurch wurden starke Essensgerüche – insbesondere nach Frittierfett, Fish and Chips und Pommes – direkt in unser Zimmer gedrückt. Das war sehr unangenehm.
Für eine einzige Nacht war das Zimmer gerade noch auszuhalten. Insgesamt entsprach der Aufenthalt jedoch keineswegs unseren Erwartungen und war für uns sehr enttäuschend.
Ich würde mich freuen, wenn Sie die Zimmerbeschreibung überprüfen und zukünftigen Gästen eine realistischere Beschreibung bieten würden.
The breakfast was phenomenal! The room was just right with a nice view.
Very comfortable inn above a cafe. Excellent place to overnight before an international flight the following mid-morning (that is, it's a straightforward, 20 min drive to EDI). Location is in a cute, quiet, village-like neighborhood with beautiful views over the bay. We enjoyed the walking along the shore and then stoping for a beer and some fish in the pub that is less then 5 min walk away. It was truely a joy for one night, but I suspect it would be perhaps a bit sparce with regard to amenities within walking distance during a longer stay. Unfortunately our hours there did not overlap with the open hours of the ground floor cafe, which looks to be lovely.
More of a warning than a dislike: Be prepared to climb a set or two of narrow stairs. It will be workout with a heavy suitcase.

Lovely seaside town. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of warm water and lovely view of the harbor. The cafe downstairs is wonderful and convenient for a start to the day.
The hallway was a tad loud but that’s more an issue regarding impolite guests being loud in the hallways.

The room was very comfortable with lovely styling and a nice bathroom. We stayed here the night before departing from Edinburgh airport and found it to be a lovely quiet seaside village, an ideal way to end our stay in Scotland. The taxi to the airport the next morning was less than 20 minutes. The bed was comfortable and two varieties of pillows were provided, which was ideal.
It would have been nice to have a fan available in the room, and would be needed in hotter weather.
