Beautiful setting and decor. Very friendly staff. Cafe below was excellent. Only 10mins from the train station to get to Edinburgh. Really nice pub 2 mins walk away for dinner. Most importantly, very comfortable beds!
If I had to pick fault, a side lamp in the family room would have been useful.
A gem of a B&B. Nicely appointed, spacious room, with a terrific view over the Forth. Very comfortable bed, slept like a log. Although breakfast is not included, we went down to the cafe in the morning and had a first class breakfast there, and quite the plateful. Highly recommended and we'll definitely be back.
Nothing.
Clean, comfy, nice cafe below, staff were very friendly and helpful. It was suitably located for an event at the Inn at Charlestown.
No taxi service via the local companies or uber app. Waited for a while then decided to walk.
Lovely and warm well-equiped room, comfortable bed, pretty view, very friendly and helpful staff, extremely tasty food served in the coffee shop below. Also very practical (all check-in info given before arrival, two options for parking, folder with useful info in the room).
The building looked very nice .
There is a very busy cafe downstairs which is the reception where you pick up and drop off your keys.
The blonde haired girl who met us when we arrived was very nice and always seemed to be working very hard in the busy cafe. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
There is a nice pub nearby where the food was lovely.
The Coorie advertise the uninterrupted views of the sea from their Hotel, which was why I booked this accommodation.
I was so looking forward to that. Unfortunately when we got to our room, it was at the back with no view at all and very dark. You needed the lights on most of the time. When you book this accommodation there is nothing to tell you your room has a view or not. You pay the same for a front view as you do for no view! Which seems wrong to me. If id known this was our room we definitely would not have booked it.
This really spoiled our stay. The sun was streaming in the rooms in the front, while our room ( room 4) was very dark.
The noise of the central heating pipes kept me awake from early morning with a continual banging in the pipes.
We stayed 2 nights. When we got back after being out on our second day we were very disappointed that our room had not been serviced. We would have appreciated at least fresh cups, more t bags and a clean hand towel as we only had one. We had spread up our bed so didn’t mind that not being made. Staff were cleaning the room opposite when we left so they did know we were out for the day.
I did email The Coorie on my return home but have had no response.
This place is a dream! The size of the rooms, the views, the cozy (and delicious) cafe downstairs, and the friendly owners were just a few reasons we absolutely loved this stay! This little town is one of our favorites and the Coorie is the best bed and breakfast style hotel to stay at in town. So picturesque!
No fridge in the room but it wasn't an issue as we didn't stay long, but if we were there for a longer stay it would have been nice.
Great location, having cafe below was brilliant. Staff were really nice.
Being very picky I’d say the bathroom cleaning was not quite 10/10 but I’m quite fussy.
Friendly , well situated , cosy
Cute cafe. Good location. Parking straight in front of hotel
Probably the best place we stayed!
Spacious room with clean and neutral decorative elements, comfy bathroom and cute vintage details.
Didn’t get to try the food downstairs but seem like a cute cafe
I was hoping to have a room with the sea view, all our rooms during the trip were without any view (meaning view on a wall mostly) which is a bit sad for a honeymoon so I was pretty sure to get a sea view for our last night in Scotland, no luck!
We really love The Coorie and have been back several times. We love the location but it is probably not that accessible to someone who doesn't have a car. The food in the cafe is great and there is a nice pub just a short distance away.
Fabulous location and room.
It would have been nice to have a couple of chairs in the room.
Staff were really friendly, rooms nice and big, clean and tidy. Tea coffee etc in room. Voucher towards breakfast. View from room lovely.
Nothing
You can watch from the window how the tide lifts the boats in the bay. Clean rooms, real traditional British building, only 30-minute drive to Edinburgh city centre.
The property is set in a beautiful little village right on the water.
