2nd stay with my dog had a much better room this time (26) had the chicken ceaser salad from the restaurant and was superb
Can be noisy due to doors slamming
Breakfast was lovely
The shower head was broken
We had a lovely time with my Mum. The Spa facilities were great as always:)
N/A
Gorgeous surroundings, pleasant
Took my little dog with me and had a door directly to the garden which was very convenient and a ground floor room
The hotel wasn't expecting me to be bringing my dog which I had previously messaged and had a response from the reception to say that was good. Had to wait 30mins for a room to be allocated which to be honest was clean but is in definate need of and upgrade/refurbishment as window catch was broken and carpet tatty
We like how wonderful the place is outside and in the staff are brilliant and there is nothing to fault breakfast is amazing and this time we also brought our furry friend along too he even enjoyed every minute off it We have been a hand full of times now and will always return on the weekends, there is also so much to do near by including the health suit 2 second away in the car park, lots of wild life to see all around love this place
I'm such a cold person sometimes there hasn't been a raidtor working but staff has always provided a heater for the room witch is amazing
Worst hotel we’ve stayed in
We asked for a cot bed with the room which was approved prior to the stay. When we got to the room it was missing, we went to the reception to ask for a cot bed. When a cot bed finally showed up it was a stand with no mattress, handed to us very unceremoniously by Courtney. We raised it had no bottom/mattress in it as an issue and Courtney was sent back up to the room with a blanket for which we were told it was a mattress! When we challenged this we were then told mattresses are not given as they are a safety issue, again we pushed back it was clear there was no mattress for the cot in the hotel and the room hadn’t been prepared appropriately for our stay. I asked to speak to a manager, Courtney came back up to the room and instead of bringing a mattress told us our 11 month year old could sleep on a couple of extra pillows for which in itself is a health and safety risk! There is no training in place clearly for health and safety risk testing.
I went down to the reception and spoke with Christopher who agreed our experience had been severely lacking. He went to another hotel to get a cot bed and mattress and showed up at 10:30pm with what should have been there in the room in the first place. A cot bed with a mattress and a clean sheet and blanket for our baby. He promised a full refund for our experience for which we agreed. It is now 2 weeks since we stayed at hotel and no refund nor a full investigation into what occurred nor apology. This is the poorest hotel you could stay in. Staff have no training and there is no leadership.
The general atmosphere of the hotel is cosy and comfortable.
Breakfasts are generous, with good variety.
The room we booked was at the farthest end of the hotel, meaning a lengthy....and I mean lengthy, walk to and from reception and breakfast. I would not have selected this room type had I known this.
Front of house staff (other than Isabel on Reception) could do with some training in greeting and serving clients. It doesn't take much effort, and the sense of being valued goes a long way.
The room
We r over 70 yars old and were in room 47.. a lot if stears a no one helped us with the suitcases
No enough food and the service during the breakfast was bad
The service in recepción was catastrophic
I like this hotel. Have been twice. The room was nice, and clean. The pool was lovely.
The breakfast was OK.
Couldn't get online. Problems with WIFI
Staff super helpful
It was all fine
The room. Food - good choice for meals and very good breakfast choice. Staff were pleasant and helpful. They moved us to another room, which was an upgrade at no extra cost.
Taps and plumbing in our first room were a problem, but we were moved to a better room along with their apologies
Food portion's were good and so was the food, good leisure facilities.
My room was right above a boiler room and I was told it would go off at 10 but it didn’t it lasted all night and it was extremely loud that I couldn’t get to sleep, I phoned twice at midnight and no one answered and they claim it to be a 24 hour reception. However I’m guessing not all rooms have a boiler room above them so other from that the room was nice.
Location for knickhill race circuit. The spa facilities.
Hotel.is very dated
Rooms even more so. Our room the furniture was all sticky. The bathroom didnt smell like had been cleaned. The taps were loose on the sink.
The food was awful. We both had beef burger £20 each for a crispy burned burger.some lettuce. And a few chips. No mayonnaise was available when I asked.
Breakfast was even worse. Trays in the buffet were lying empty or with dregs of stale food.
Staff friendly, homely feel
TV, heating and cold tap didn't work
