Highlands Resort - Adults Only

Beautiful property with amazing rooms - very clean, modern and cozy! Love the peace and quiet and the views from the balcony or front yard were beautiful - you feel like you are inside a forest and I loved that. The reception staff were very friendly and upgraded us as well on request - which was awesome. For this cost, it is a great value. Will definitely come back for a romantic getaway!

Such a beautiful and lovely little oasis! Whether you’re looking for an escape in nature, or to experience wine country this little resort in the trees is everything its make out to be! From the cabins to the amazing hospitality, I would 100% recommend the Highlands as your place to stay. Izzy at the front desk is such a doll with such a warm and friendly smile. Overall really enjoyed my stay and all the people who made it out to be so memorable.

Simply wonderful

Wonderful experience for our overnight stay. We were in Guerneville to see the Armstrong Woods. Our cabin was surrounded by large redwoods and the resort was immaculate. Well landscaped and quiet. Breakfast was served outside beside a nice fire pit. Staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this resort.

This place is a beautiful retreat. Kathy at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. I will return! I loved morning breakfast at the fire pit. The pool was very nice. We met the owner at her restaurant Boon eatery which I highly recommend! The was my first time to Guerneville and it was very memorable.

We spent four amazing nights at this cool forest resort. The free breakfast is all farm to table organic fresh and we enjoyed relaxing by the lazy Russian River, including the local dining. We were just minutes away from the
Armstrong Redwoods State Park, and many Sonoma Wineries.

the well manicured grounds, the pool area and well thought of cabins located near downtown but still felt far enough to feel secluded.

Clean, simple, and restorative. Highlands is sited on the hill above the town so there is little, if any traffic or bar noise. The resort has everything that you need and nothing that you don't need (I would have liked a microwave in the cabin, but I enjoyed my stay, so I didn't NEED it) . I stayed mid week in August, so there were people around but folks were cool. Armstrong Redwoods State Park is close by. Salt Point State Park, a personal favorite, is about an hour away. Will plan my next trip.

We really enjoyed our stay in one of the cabins at Highlands resort. It was at the tail end of a long road trip and it was probably our favorite stay of the entire trip.

The overall setup is just enough for city slickers like us to feel like we're a tad off the beaten path without sacrificing any creature comforts. You basically get all of the amenities of a hotel room in a setting that seems to encourage you to disconnect and unplug. It's super quiet and the fresh air is conducive to a good night's sleep. At the same time, the location is walking distance to the main Guerneville strip and a straight shot from the Armstrong Redwoods Nature preserve - basically the ideal location for staying in Russian River.

No complaints with any of the small stuff, either - getting in and out is easy, breakfast is great and fit for purpose, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
