Great location for access into the island. Great staff always on hand and very helpful. Great traditional Irish breakfast!

Pros:

One of the nicest rooms I ever stayed in. Booked the sea view and it was totally worth it. Very comfortable, fabulous room.

Cons:

My only issue is there was specs of liquid on the toilet seat that needed to be cleaned off and a used plaster on the floor when we arrived. This was dealt with immediately but definitely not good enough from a cleaning perspective.

Cons:

Small repairs needed in the room, eg heating radiator control knob - full blast heating at midnight couldn't be turned down. Light switch over bathroom mirror needs to be ffixed.

I've stayed there before and found it ideal, like last time. My kind of hotel!
Pros:

I like almost everything about the hotel. It is a bit shabby and a bit old fashioned but that's fine with me. I had windows I could open and no fancy electronics or air conditioning - everything worked as it should and was straightforward. Five star hotels are a nightmare, Achill Island Hotel is great.

Cons:

I had only one gripe which was the lack of heating in my room. It was a big room with a small radiator which was hardly ever warm. As a vegetarian the menu could have been better.
