Milan and his family did their utmost to make a pleasurable stay turn into an unforgettable experience. we were provided with lots of valuable information regarding attractions in the area.
when required, we were given the service of a knowledgable guide (who never detoured to “an interesting shop”) or were provided enough information to successfully do our own thing.
But the outstanding feature of the Lake Wave are the meals. after sampling the first dinner we immediately decided to have all our meals at the hotel. in a country famous for the quality of its cooking, Milan‘s mother topped them all. be it breakfast or dinner, we always chose Sri Lankan cuisine and in our four week stay in Sri Lanka we had it never better than during the four days we sampled the food at the Lake Wave. a truly exeptionable experience. it‘s a must!

De kamer was groezelig en aan opknapbeurt toe. De badkamer was reeds geronoveerd. We hebben zelfs schone lakens moeten vragen. We vermoeden dat we een verouderde kamer gekregen hebben want da andere kamers zagen er beter uit

Milan is super vriendelijk, helpt je overal bij en zorgt er voor dat je het zo comfortabel mogelijk hebt. Locatie is top aan het meer. Mooie tuin waar je ook kan relaxen in de hangmat of lekker kan zitten.
Niet zoveel. Kamer/badkamer basic maar dat was geen probleem.

A giudicare dalle recensioni piene di entusiasmo, ci aspettavamo una struttura a gestione familiare ma un po' più curata. La pulizia della nostra camera lasciava molto a desiderare, il profumo messo sulle lenzuola dava la sensazione che non fossero pulite, così come il bagno.
El trato del personal. Nos ayudaron en todo (safari, consejos de visitas, tuk-tuk...) con excelente organización. Cena y desayunos excelentes, comida local, y además con explicaciones de cada plato y de los ingredientes. La situación muy adecuada, lejos del bullicio y cerca del lago.

Milan ist unglaublich freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit und gibt Superreisetipps. Der Garten ist toll und das Essen auch. Meine Tochter hat dort einen schönen Rock von der hauseigenen Schneiderei gekauft und mein Sohn hat ein Buch (deutsche Fassung) im Buchregal gefunden.
De ligging van het hotel is perfect, je hebt uitzicht op een prachtig meer en dichtbij zijn er meerdere leuke cafés/ restaurants. De host is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Hij hielp ons met het plannen van onze dagen. Zo regelde hij een erg goede gids voor een tempel tour en eentje voor een safari in wilpattu. Het is zeker een aanrader!

Great location with a beautiful view of the lake and lovely garden. Milan is a superb host. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed and looked after. He arranged a fantastic guide for Mihintale and the next day the same guide took us to the ancient city. Milan knows the guides well and selected to match our wants. Then there is the food - cooked by mum - we think she should be on Masterchef. We had dinner on the first night and it was so special we ate there our second night as well. Milan shared the history of the dishes and arranged dishes to our taste (authentic but not too spicy). Comfy bed. Lovely bathroom. Great aircon. The room was perfect. We highly recommend Lake Wave. If we return to Sri Lanka we will return to this place too.
Struttura in ottima posizione sul lago,tutti gli ambienti puliti e accoglienti,0ttima cucina tipica familiare con una grande varietà; abbiamo anche ricevuto l'invito a partecipare alla commemorazione della morte del padre terminata con un grande buffet; ottimo Suggerimento per il tuo tuk :siri bravissimo e competente/ piccolo suggerimento:studiare la possibilità di prese ai lati del letto e abajur / complimenti per tutto

The hotel is comfortable and well located, near a very pleasant lake. The owner, Milan, and his family were very kind and helped us with everything we needed. We had dinner and breakfast there, and everything was delicious. 100% recommended!
Milan is een hele lieve gastheer, neemt de tijd voor je en deelt alle mogelijke activiteiten die je kan doen in de stad.

los extras los cobran muy caros..no sé corresponden con el alojamiento ni con el precio de la habitación
Pedí un segundo café en el desayuno que cuesta 1500 rr y me quiso cobrar 650 rrp más.
Las bicis de pago las usamos 2 horas y nos cobraron el día entero 1500 rr. Quisimos alquilarlas medio día y no fue posible.
La chambre famillale en elle même, avec la vue sur le lac, est accueillante et dispose de tout le nécessaire..L'hôtel est agréable et bien situé. L'accueil est vraiment très chaleureux. Notre hôte a pris le temps de nous expliquer, bien en détails, les choses à faire à Anuradhapura. Il nous a organisé les diverses excursions et la visite des sites sur 2 jours avec un guide/chauffeur de Tuk tuk, c'était fantastique ! Il nous a également préparé à manger plusieurs fois et c'était très bon. Le rapport qualité prix est top.

Accoglienza del proprietario super! Ci ha fatto sentire a casa e ci ha coccolato a colazione e cena facendoci provare pasti della cultura singalese spiegando benissimo.
Il caffè forse andrebbe cambiato (o forse è un problema dell’acqua con cui viene fatto).
Una sistematina alle stanze e un po’ di manutenzione ci starebbe bene
