Excellent location and friendly staff. Cozy, clean rooms.
Good breakfast
Lots of choices
The toilet paper was in an awkward location.
Breakfast was good, the lodging itself was fine; especially for the semi-remote location that it is in. Being near Hagrid's Hut is pretty amazing (even though the hut itself is no longer there). That was the reason we booked Claichaig Inn. About a 10-minute hike.
First thing: the staff almost lost our reservation, which means we were almost left without a place to stay, even though we paid for it. Thank goodness they found it. Second location, location, location. Glencoe is beautiful country, but there simply is not much near Claichaig Inn, unless you like hiking (or Harry Potter). However, the location suited us just fine for our own purposes. Third, minor thing: the dining room was a bit crowded. We had no place to sit in the evening, and we ended up just not doing it. We took up the last available table at breakfast.
Lovely views from the room and the inn in general. Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was nice and the bar food was lovely especially the burgers. The bar had a great atmosphere and was warm and cosy. Staff were helpful and friendly!
Clachaig Inn was perfectly places on the route we were following for our driving holiday of Scotland.
The room was basic but clean, tidy and warm.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The food served at the in was great a great pub meal. Breakfast provided plenty of options.
I liked the special location in the mountains
I thought the bed could have been more comfortable
Good location as only 20 minutes from the mountain resort. The food was incredible. We had breakfast included which I couldn’t fault, great value for money and great quality. Room was clean
I was with my seven year old and the music from the pub in the hotel was blaring until midnight which wasn’t ideal. We were in room 11 and we may aswell have been in the entertainment bar it was that loud. Kids aren’t allowed in the bar where the entertainment is which is annoying as there isn’t anything else at all to do due to location unless you’re eating on the restaurant, great for location to ski resort but nothing else nearby and road into premises was treacherous in the snow so didn’t risk going back out in the dark. Room was clean but very outdated
Staff so helpful. Great location
More choices on the menu and bigger beds as we were in room 25 that could easily accommodate a king size bed.
