Charming time traveling opportunity in Magog!
Pros:

I was mesmerized by the charm of this historical building right after my first step going through the doorway. I was there for only a night, but I enjoyed it so much I didn't even left the place to visit the town. The dining hall and the huge lounge area are both unique bonuses.

Cons:

The smell of the chemical used for cleaning the washroom.

I would stay here again.
Pros:

Our room was huge and comfortable. We had a nice front facing street view, very little street noise. It is a historic hotel, so don't expect modern furnishings or amenities. Good parking. Felt very safe and cozy. Not in the center, but walking distance to town in a few minutes.

Even though it said their restaurant was closed and no breakfast served, they did provided some food and drink for breakfast. That was a pleasant surprise.

Not to be confused with the nearby Auberge du Lac where you check in. We stayed there once and did not like it. This is much better. They seem to be owned by the same people.

Cons:

When other rooms used the washroom, the hot water would get cold in the shower, beware! No elevator/lift is something to consider. There are only two levels, but it's a bit high due to tall ceilings.

Good for one night stay
Pros:

It was pretty clean, the lady who did our check in was nice, the building was nice and close to all restaurants etc.

Cons:

The water wouldn’t go past semi-warm temperature, I like having hot baths so it was way too cold for me. Everything was pretty old and not updated, there was not enough parking for us so we had to park somewhere else. No water or kettle, only coffee available.

Good place for an overnight stopover.
Pros:

We were on our way to Québec city and wanted a halfway point for an overnight along the way. The location was great. Easy walk to shops and restaurants.

Cons:

It was very lightly staffed, perhaps because of the time of year (we were there just before Christmas). We had to leave the premises for breakfast and the place they recommended, a hotel just down the road, was awful.
