The infrastructure is good. It meets your expectations for a stay. Clean rooms and a nice pool.
Playa Panama feels a bit quieter compared to other beaches (vs Playa Hermosa and Playa Coco). If you’re planning to spend more time at the beach and want a bit more vibe, I’d recommend staying somewhere in Playa Hermosa.

Beautiful property and close proximity to Liberia airport. We left too soon to stay up for the fire pits or have the breakfast, unfortunately. If we return, we will stay here again and plan for more time here.

The property was beautiful! Everything was well maintained and it was so quiet and peaceful. The beach it backed was great a short walk from the resort. The pool was great and had nice chairs surrounding it.
The beach directly out from the resort was a bit rocky, but it wasn’t a big deal as the beach was super nice with soft sand just a five minute walk down the beach.

The grounds are beautiful! The rooms are extremely comfortable. The pool is huge and fun to swim in. Fabulous buffet breakfast included.

The only way to describe this hotel is….fine. Don’t be fooled by all the 5* reviews, they offer free paddle boards & kayaks if you give them a 5* review, otherwise you have to pay $15 for them!
The breakfast was good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was fine, no frills. It was clean, I’ll give them that.
It’s VERY overpriced compared to some other places on the island. Cocktails are $18 and undrinkable, vs some other beach clubs or restaurants where the avg is $14 and actually enjoyable. The food menu also is nothing to get excited about. We paid $41 for an octopus main which was VERY chewy and didn’t taste of much. The location also isn’t ideal, you need a car if you’re staying here and want to do anything in the evening. There’s no offer of a shuttle or anything to get you into town and a taxi will set you back $55 just to go to the nearest town (about 10/15mins away). The bar/restaurant closes at exactly 10pm with no exceptions every night, so on Saturday evening when we came back and asked for a beer at 10:10pm we were told absolutely not.
Grounds were beautiful. The staff was exceptional. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Daniella at the front desk went out of her way to help us and was so welcoming. The staff in restaurant was great. Harvey made you feel right at home.

Little bit overpriced
The room was very comfortable and clean, nice patio, bed comfortable. The breakfast was good, the restaurant was nice. The pool was beautiful and perfect temperature.
The only complaint was that there were not enough pool chairs and/or beach chairs for the guests. The first of two days we were there, we had no available chairs at beach or pool all day.
Breakfast was good. The omelet bar and service was great! The staff members were very accommodating and friendly. Toro and Harley were great bar tenders!
The internet was a little bit slow in the room.
The property is really lovely; the gardens are beautiful and there’s a variety of wildlife around. The beach was quiet and a bit calmer than our other location in Guanacaste. The facilities are a bit dated - the rooms and pool are showing signs of age/wear. The food was good and portions were generous. Staff was friendly but the pool bar was not routinely staffed while we were there - maybe because the resort wasn’t highly occupied? It was OK but we felt overpriced compared to our other stays.
Overpriced for what it was. Beach could have used some clean up (garbage, dead fish)
