Fantastic location, great for walks and a lovely setting.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing food - breakfast was included making the price truly exceptional. The family room had two double beds - one king size. Perfect get away, would honestly recommend but don’t trust your sat max - follow the signs! 🙂

Great location and lots of walks to choose from. A great breakfast and we dined in the restaurant both nights and enjoyed the food. Staff were very friendly and overall good value for money.
The electric shower was a bit disappointing as the pressure was low

A last minute booking made for a few days walking around the area. When we arrived it was busy but it was a bank holiday. We parked in car park 2 which actually was nearer to the shepherds hut (Number 2)we were staying in. The shepherds hut was amazing, so warm and comfortable with lovely furnishings. A lot more room than we thought. Breakfast was fab and we ate at The Little Mill one night which was good, gluten free catered for. Staff all friendly and the location was perfect for us. We walked from the pub one day to Cown edge. Brilliant booklet from the pub👍
A very family friendly place which can get busy especially outside but quiet in the evening. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend. The weather was brilliant and we got a good price for bed and breakfast which is unusual for a Shepard's hut of this quality.🙂 Thankyou for a lovely stay.
The shepherds hut was opposite the kitchen so we could hear the fan but it went off early evening. A little noise from cars going to and from car park 2, the lane is behind the hut. The lights on the side of the pub are on till midnight which did light up the hut. Maybe blackouts would be good. Was surprised on the noise from overhead planes going to the airport.
I'm being very picky because non of the above spoilt our stay.

The staff and owners have been excellent. Very friendly. The room was well up to standard. Unfortunately we did not eat as we had other arrangements but the food looked good. A great place with the owners investing and expanding facilities for the future. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. Thanks

Excellent location absolutely love this place
We stayed in Apt.2 which was ideal as we always enjoy a bit more space (mother and daughter). The room was ideally kitted and exceptionally clean. It’s advisable to pre-book a meal as the pub is hugely popular. The food was delicious and staff so warm and welcoming. The mill was a random find but we’re so glad we visited, as the area is beautiful. Plenty of walks nearby. We’d definitely return!

Great hotel in a brilliant location
The Shepherd's hut was high quality & very comfortable. The superking room with balcony was excellent for sitting out looking over the water. The food was exceptional, and the staff were so friendly and made our stay a great one. We will definitely come back.
