We have been back many times as we love the location, rooms (especially the apartment) and the wonderful food. Great atmosphere and venue in a seasons.

Lovely country side spot , beautiful food , very scenic, staff absolutely lovely and look after us very well.
Shower pressure in room 3 wasn't great , and it was hard to get a taxi. Other than that an incredible place really.

Our room was one of the older ones, not yet refurbished, but was clean and comfy if a little tired.

It was Spotlessly clean. Very organised. And the rooms were very nice and the beds extremely comfortable.
The food was sooo good.
There was absolutely nothing we did not like about this property.
We love The Little Mill Inn.
It is a beautiful oasis in the Peak District just an hour away from Manchester. Perfect for an overnight stay with children. We went as a big group and the kids loved playing in the expansive garden, park and paddling in the stream with goats and geese to see too.
The staff are welcoming and professional and the food also very good, and with very generous portions!
Finally the rooms were beautiful, equipped with everything you need.

Location and lovely play area for our grandchildren
Only 1 small chair in room for family, only 2 cups when there were 3 of us. The room just had so many cobwebs and dust, and the blinds were broken which made it difficult to close them in the evening. The evening meal wasn’t as good as when we have stayed in the past, it was just so bland. After our first night, next morning, I asked in reception if we could have extra blankets because we were cold, was told they would be left in our room, when we returned in the evening, no extra blankets so had to ask again. We got them but feel you shouldn’t have to keep chasing people.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. The food was absolutely outstanding; I had the 10oz ribeye steak for dinner, which was honestly one of the best I've ever eaten, alongside a brilliant pint of Farmhouse Harvest Pale Ale. Breakfast was equally delicious and served by a wonderfully attentive team. (A quick tip for future guests: the staff actually set up a designated table for you with your room number on a little board, and there is a toaster available for guests to use!).
The accommodation was fantastic. The room was spotlessly clean, very roomy, and comfortable. I really appreciated the excellent facilities, including plenty of hot chocolate and coffee, plus great quality toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). The shower was lovely and piping hot.
Finally, it is the perfect base for walkers. I did the Lantern Pike walk right from the door and returned for a very relaxed pint. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
If I had to be really, really picky, I would mention the window coverings. One of the windows had both a blind and curtains, but the other two only had blinds. This meant that a bit of the outdoor security lighting penetrated the room, so it wasn't a complete blackout overnight. However, this was a very minor detail in an otherwise completely flawless stay.
This place is the perfect getaway just outside of Manchester. The cosiest of pubs, with excellent service and delicious, very generous portions.
There was a big group of us staying for a night and all the rooms, including huts were beautiful too.
The outdoor areas, parks, slides, roaming goats and geese were a huge hit with the kids.
A true gem in the peak district.
