This was an adequate stay for what we needed - picking up travelers from the airport and needing an overnight stay. Good value and fun decor, beds were so-so.
The rooms were very clean and modern. The bed was neatly made. Someone from next door let me in, showed me to my room and pointed towards the kitchen. There was a suicide shower.
The outside looked like a closed bodega. No signs to confirm this was the place. I got instructions with the code to a lockbox with the front door key but there was no lockbox and code keypad to be found. There was a small TV with no signal.
The host is very responsive. Good value for the money if you need a place to stay close to the airport. WiFi was fine and the room was overall clean.
Obviously, it is not a 5 star hotel, but spending less than $ 35 for a night, I'm not sure you can't get better than this.
Nice place
Somewhat hard to find / get in
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Facilities were well maintained. Good location. Hot water in bathroom!! Big plus for this Gringo.
Nothing. This is My favorite place to book in Costa Rica.
Tucked away on a small cul de sac, away from traffic, with Lots of emenities close by. Feria Market just up the street with all the fruits and veggies you can ask for, and Soda Gina for an inexpensive breakfast. Soda El Parque down the street the other way was great and inexpensive as well. Both delicious!
Our room was right near the front, so we'd hear all the noise from loud passerbys. But ear plugs work if that bothers you too much.
The place was very convenient for the price
Shower temperature was a bit too lukewarm for me (but I like hot water). My friends were okay with the temperature
I've stayed in Casa Lapa previously in years past. As a solo traveler it was a good value for laying my head on a pillow for a few hours.
When I arrived, I couldn't remember what door belonged to Casa Lapa...there are many garage and entry doors in a row. There is no signage to indicate what door to enter. I actually walked in on two private residences!
I received no response to my email inquiries as to how to gain entry to the locked door.. I had to ask neighbors what door was Casa Lapa's!
It was by chance that a friend who stayed the night before, had the door code and texted it to me. His stay was a nightmare, and I'm sorry I recommended Casa Lapa to him.
Unfortunately, the price now exceeds the value, and the inconveniences are not worth the hassle. Neither of us will be back. 🫤
Pretty, quiet and immaculate. 3 km from airport, near a good cafe
Hard to identify, staff was not particularly nice, advertised it came with breakfast and staff and owner were unaware. She refunded $5 which was ok.
Easy to access, convenient and close to the airport.
