A lot of fun! Great food and exceptional service… especially in ski rentals.
Pros:

Mingi was extremely helpful with ski and snowboard rentals. He helped make our trip extra fun!

最高の休日を過ごせました。
Pros:

スキーイン、アウト出来る環境はやはり最強です。
施設は最新ではありませんが、清潔で心地よいです。部屋からの眺めも素晴らしく、風呂のお湯の出も最高です。(結構重要)
スタッフのサービス、ホスピタビリティーがとても素晴らしい。正直、スキー宿では立地に胡座をかいていて、サービスがないがしろにされる事はやむを得ないと思っていましたが驚きのおもてなしでした。
私たち夫婦は、裕福なインバウンド向けに作られた日本のおもてなしサービスを享受した形でしょうか、何にしても素晴らしかったです。
朝食、夕食ともに解放感のあるレストランで景色を楽しみながらの食事は満足出来る内容であり、またサービスでした。
チェックイン時刻をかなり早くしてくれた事が更に高い評価を与えていると思います、非常に嬉しく思い、感謝しております。
とにかく、スキー宿でこのサービスは最高でした。

Good food, essentials are there, bit outdated
Pros:

Ski in-ski out is great, although the most accessible runs are intermediate, not beginner.
Breakfast&dinner were great. Enough selection, both Japanese & western.
Ski rental at hotel is very convenient. Reasonable prices.

Cons:

Room was too hot, even though heating was set at minimum. Had to open the window to cool down to be able to sleep.
Beds too hard for our taste.
Overall common areas a bit outdated. That's not serious, but given the price, I would expect a bit more. But hotel prices vs. quality in Japan in general are higher than say Europe.

This was a great find that the whole family enjoyed!
Pros:

It was great fun for the whole family. Kids describe it as a big cruise ship on the snow. Great buffet breakfast, onsen & hire facilities at the hotel. Very easy to ski in and out and get around the resorts.

Cons:

The rooms are quite small although functional. One thing missing are areas to lounge around at the hotel and apres / outdoor sitting for an after ski beer would be great.

Prince Hotel (west) Shiga Kogen March 2026
Pros:

Location was fabulous if you are a skier/snowboarder. Can rent equipment onsite. Onsen was well equipped and clean. Fabulous breakfast - didn't eat at buffet for dinner though as seemed expensive There is a ramen restaurant very close by which served good food. We stayed in a 2 bedded room #3464 and loved waking up to a beautiful snow view each day

Cons:

Coffee cups too small. Though there were lots of breakfast options, food didn't vary very much. I never went hungry but would have liked a few more western options instead of the same things each day.

Cleanliness, location, Onson, meals, Staff!!! And the option to ship our skis back to Narita airport!!!

Cons:

Cost seemed a bit high. Surprised there wasn’t a workout room.
Dryer needs to be vented.
Would be nice to have a combining that offered food options, since there was no town close by.

Wouldn’t start there again, all our snow gear became wet.
Pros:

Great location - next to the ski lifts

Cons:

There’s no drying room so the whole hotel smells like sticky socks, no swing room lounge or seats for th 20-50 people waiting for buses/check in/check out. Buffet breakfast/dinner is nearly the same every day.
